Or am I just paranoid? lol
@anthak Sorry if I am a hard read at times. The tit for tat between the mainland and Taiwan is essentially about bragging rights, possibly at a more too serious level than our expats league.
Is it too early to start ragging ? USA! USA! USA! (except Nebraska of course) (ps....99.9% of Americans have no idea what football we play sadly)
@Simonoz In the immortal words of Leonard Cohen, "First we take Manhattan, then we take New York." What's wrong with Nebraska?
LOL...nothing mate. But I'm batting out of NYC, cant very well be supporting another competitive Expat in this league out of Nebraska.
nabraska - proud recipient of first pay out of the TS Expat League. When pre-season research turns to pre-season ragging things must be getting close to starting... It's on!!!
Nebraska facts: * Once known as the Great American Desert * Gave the world Spam (the meaty substance....) * Invented Kool-Aid * First to be ragged in the TS Expat League (( I'm undertaking a week of ragging ~ have changed my team 371 times in 4 weeks, have 72 players on my watch list and just cant look at it anymore ))
hey, just thinking we probably should get some expats in a waiting list for this league, as every day, moving back to Australia seems to be a larger possibility for me. I may not even last until R1...
@anthak dont worry mate, you will still be expat in mind and spirit as it will take you many months to normalise back into Aussie life. @Simonz - 99% of Americans don't know there is a world outside the States let alone a different football code. Recently I was in a conversation with an American here in Dubai and "Sri Lanka" was mentioned - as serious as anything the American guy questioned "What is Sri Lanka?".... a true story!

Hey Guys, Since there seems to be a bit of a USA ragging theme, I lived in Austin for several years (one of the more civilised cities in the US) and was surprised to learn that of the 20 odd million people that live in Texas less than 10% had passports (and then mostly to go to Mexico), 70% had never left the state and, IIRC, about 40% had never left the county they were born in. For a while it seemed like every hand we needed to send on a job outside the US needed to go and get a passport first.

Quote from J_in_Japan on February 15, 2011, 20:45 I just joined. 13/16 Dikileaks is based in Niseko, Japan. Not much footy up here so this is how I stay in touch.
Shout out to you J!! Hope everythings ok with you/friends/family! And also, gotta let you all know. I have booked tix back to Australia. We are heading back on the weekend. But have a couple of other options on the cards, and will be hopefully heading back os in around July...

Last call out! Are there any other expats out there that arent in this league? You can have my spot. we still have time to swap around
Just because you are now at home, doesn't give you an excuse when we all kick the Red Whiners to the curb. You now have the illusion of perspective instead or relying on the TS community.
haha. fair enough - just still would rather someone more worthy have the spot... and I am with you on the red whiners bit! Also - great to hear from you!!! Glad you are ok over in Japan!
Anth....you've been in this Expat League since its embryonic days mate. As far as we are all concerned...you really arent back in Australia ~ your sort of.....floating!
Ant, like your penchant for fairness but as they say in Thailand, too much democracy is not a good thing. You already have your fill with your voting system on the TS team, so relax - you ain't going anywhere. Simonoz has already appointed you as the Expat's Ambassador to Australia. What's all this kick the Whiners stuff???? Ant has been doing this SC gig longer than me (would accept a challenge at lawn bowls tho).
