A few thoughts from me after studying today's fields/form Warwick Farm Race 4 # 6 Lautrec (e/w) Was only 0.5 length 2nd to the up and coming Snitsky in Randwick 1400m NMW3yo&up last start in good time carrying 56kg ridden by Blake Shinn - has benefit of the experienced Rod Quinn today in BM70 1300m event and will settle in the first half of the field - should give a solid run for your money with strong EW claims in what appears a wide open race. Mornington Race 1 # 1 Puissance De Lune - Imported Irish bred/French raced 4yo entire from the D.K.Weir stable - had 4 starts in France for a win and 2 placings before coming out to Oz - first prep here won his first 2 races in brilliant style coming from tail of the field and rounding up the leaders in the straight to land big betting plunges before finishing 4th in his 3rd run - went for a spell before returning for a 2.6 length 5th behind Lord of Brazil in Ballarat 1600m open handicap first up - Has Brad Rawillier riding today (BRaw was on board for both wins in first prep) - has the ability/strength to carry the top weight easily, the only concern is with the small field, he may not be able to race his usual way of settling at the tail before winding up with a strong sustained finish in the straight - Is the class horse of the race and should win comfortably if you're prepared to take the short odds on offer!!!
