The TooSerious tradition that is Rate My Team (RMT) is back in 2016!

Let's set the ground rules for RMT, nice and clear.

    1. In order to get feedback on your own team, you must first provide feedback on the teams that have been recently posted. This is the golden rule and is what makes this whole thing work. :)
    2. If you just post your team without giving any feedback, your post will be deleted.
    3. Please refrain from commenting on teams that have been posted by others that have not followed the golden rule.
    4. Keep it civil. Constructive criticism is fine. But there is a line and please don't cross it.

To kick things off, I'll put my current SC team up for discussion. :spoton:

Find that value, search hard and follow your instincts!
Or just tell me I'm dreaming and where I've gone wrong...
    ;)

I'm not sold on Aish yet, and after tonight's game I'm not sure he will produce this year. I think Blicavs may spend less time in the ruck with Zac Smith arriving, but if he plays that wing roll it may not affect his scoring anyway. And Tippet, I just think he's soft

Here's my effort so far, at this stage I'm looking at players I think might provide best value. As rookies put their hand up players like Jack Martin will probably make way. Then the cash is there to upgrade to a Fyfe or something elsewhere. So a bit of a work in progress but I'm thinking all players bar Heater should increase their value. The other spot is the rookie back, I'm not sure about Byrne, but don't know who else to go with until more nab cup is played

I can not see a lot of keepers in your side kram. Too much mid pricers which you will more than likely need to upgrade, so id be worried about burning through trade too quickly. Also these mid pricers wouldn't generation enough cash to upgrade into premiums.

I like your set up Nick. Similar to mine, but I have 4 decent backs but only 3 decent forwards. I had Aish in my team, but I've swapped him with Collins, which frees up some cash. Like the Lobbe pick. Would think that he will do the majority of the rucking with no Ryder, so if he can recapture his 2014 form, he could be a great pick.

Think there might be a few more teams with Gawn in them by R1. Mine included.

The beard has just entered BEAST MODE.

Mid-priced madness! You have selected a huge number of players in the 200k to $450k bracket.

Most years, there are only a handful of guys in this price range who make the same sort of cash that a rookie will make. If you can pick most of them for 2016, you will probably be well on your way to winning the outright comp. But more likely, you will have to make a bunch of sideways trades or downgrade these guys to rookies in order to generate enough cash to upgrade all of your onfield slots.

I'd suggest trying to limit the number of guys you selected between 200 and 450k to not more than about 3.

Morabito is injured (again) and is also only a rookie this year and would need an upgrade to be available for R1. Look elsewhere.

You have spent the majority of your $$ in the midfield, limiting the amount of cash cows that you can use from the most abundant SC position. If enough cheap FWD and DEF rookies are selected for R1, your structure may prove a good one. But I suspect that you might need to spend more $$ on other lines than MID and take a few more rookies on this line.

I've had him at R2 in my last couple of versions so today's effort is pleasing but also a touch disappointing from what might have been a potential POD.
