Iron Knob off to a decent start, mainly due to the little master balancing out Jack 'Does he give a damn?' Riewoldt's spud effort. Only 4 guys played, IK with a heavy reliance on WCE and WB players this week by the looks of it! GAJ - 140 Harbow - 97 Riewoldt - 36 (oh FFS Jack pull your finger out son!) Waite - 73 (not a bad first game, welcome to IK) Average - 86.5

Not wishing to leave you bantering all by yourself Jimbo. As the coach always says, 'Raise your eyes a little' and think of the R2 gloryfield of Adelaide Oval (after The Stones are finished with it).

I'd be in big strife without Treloar's 154.

Is this an argument for manual input not computer based? Bad start for the Waikiks: McVeigh 82 Fyfe 122 Hannebery 57 TMitch 93 Mitch Robbo 55 5 played : 409 Average 81.8 Hope it will get better.

Not saying he won't have a breakout year, but I just don't think he represents enough value at his price compared to other options this year. Awkardly priced at $469k. 110 is often thrown around as the number for a mid keeper and at that price he'd need to be one. Needs a 23ppg increase to get there so I think there's enough risk involved to look elsewhere. Of course, I'm very much hoping he proves me wrong. :)

He will avg 100+ for sure, 108 would be my guess....

What I did say is that,in the salary cap limited SC this year, I think there are better options at a similar price. I'm delighted to have him as a Battler, as you well know Len, you bloody stirrer :p

Day has plenty of talent, however I personally think he is a better back than a forward. But I am happy for him to stay forward so as May has plenty of room to exercise his left boot.

Currently trailing the Battlers from Birdsville thanks to a couple of spud efforts from people who should know better - Walker got a 64 and got himself suspended, McKenzie a 40-something and didn't get near it. Someone at the scorer's table felt generous and gave Vickery 60 something. And he might now be injured. Bleugh. On the better side of the coin - Rance (80), Cornes and Westhoff (both 115 or so) and Coniglio (108) all make me happy. The latter three have only arrived at the Guim in the past 9 months and have done their job. Many decisions to be made now on who makes up the rest of the team.Have one defender, a couple of mids, a forward, a ruckman (if I can find one) and 2 bench players to decide on. That depth that I endeavoured to pick up is being tested very early in the season. And was massively impressed with Treloar. A good footballer.

I think it's fair to say, Chris, that the overall standard of our match improved as the weekend wore on. You only need to compare the Friday night efforts of Cloke (35), Mayne (55) and Walters (65) to Sunday's game where]Cornes, Westhoff, Ebert and Murphy all knocked out scores of over 100.

Definitely - it was closer to a nil all draw on Friday - especially if you chuck McPharlin in (as a defensive emergency for me, only scored 50). Ugly ugly stuff.
