Provisional Blimps squad to face the Wombats Ins compared to Round 10: Vickery, Wood, Butler, Tyson, Hrovat Outs: Maric (suspended), Seedsman (traded), Macintosh (traded), Walker (inj), Westhoff. Happy to have Coniglio back, as well as Tyson, Haynes may be a late in after overcoming injury too. McGlynn and Greenwood will hopefully return soon. Provisional result - Waikick Cows 1259 defeat Whitsunday Warriors 1166 Les W medal scores - 5 Dan Hannebery (WAI) 148 4 Oliver Wines (WWW) 145 3 J McVeigh (WAI) 124 2 Michael Barlow (WWW) 110 1 Tom Mitchell (WAI) 109 The Les W votes tell the story, once again our Swans' contingent managed to get the Cows out of a tight spot and enable us to record a lucky victory. Nat Fyfe's lead is eroded again by the blond haired bloke who just might get the soubriquet 'champion' before his playing career ends. The Pinot Cup stays in Bulls for another season. The corned silverside ran out during the game but the red wine lasted the distance and appears to have beaten many locals and a few visitors. Prediction - the trading TiB has done will mean he pushes (if not beats) every opponent in the run home.
Darraweit scrape home against Wagga Wagga 1230 to 1172. Some really average performances from players on both sides (I hope my learned colleague doesn't take offense!!) Lots of injury issues - Shiel for the Wombats, Edwards for the Guim. For some reason Harvey ended up a sub ... the sooner that rule is tossed for the AFL, the better. Pretty insulting. Franklin and Tippett almost got the Wombats home. But Walters did enough to get me over the line. Les W: 5 - Rance DGD 4 - Westhoff DGD 3 - Roberton WWW 2 - Tippett WWW 1 - Coniglio DGD I'm going to make special mention to Cam Wood, whose 101 filling in for big Ivan was everything I'd want out of a backup ruckman.

Anthony, well done on winning a great game in which the Gariwerd Cockatoos got the edge over the Cradle Mountain Devils 1,338 to 1,315. Despite the loss I am happy with how the Devils performed, surpassing their benchmark score of 1,300 points for one of the rare times in 2015, however questions are being asked of the Cradle Mountain coach and match committee, in particular their decision to select Tom Boyd as the ruck emergency, knowing he would have to play unless Toby Nankervis was a late inclusion. The choice of ruck emergency ended up being the deciding factor with the Cockatoos outscoring the Devils by 29 points in a match-up between two out of position players, Mackie (45) versus Boyd (16). Shortly after the game began the Cradle Mountain match committee realised they should have selected Boyd's housemate, Nick Vlastuin as the ruck emergency, Vlastuin, also out of position would have scored 48 points and got the Devils over the line by nine points. Despite being in 13th position and winning only four games Cradle Mountain have a percentage slightly above 100 due to being flat-track bullies and their four wins being by over 100 points, whilst lacking composure in close games and losing all five games decided by less than 100 points, including four games by less than 45 points, 31 points in Round 2, 27 points in Round 3, 44 points in Round 8 and 23 points in Round 12. Cradle Mountain are confident they can perform better in the final five rounds of the 2015 ORFFA season than they have for most of the season and wont be surprised if they finish the season with a flurry, however given that they are three games out of the eight finals aren't even a consideration. Given the way the season is panning out the Devils might fall narrowly short once again and work their way up to ninth which would surely earn them the title of ‘the Richmond of the ORFFA.'

Good summary Dean. Very happy to have snuck home with the close win. I had been looking at scores from both of our players through the weekend and thinking it would be a close one. That brings up our 5th win of the season, which is the same as what we achieved for all of last season. Hopefully we can get another win in the next 5 weeks to see that we are improving. Les W medal votes: 5 - Brett Deledio - Gariwerd - 139 4 - Jeremy Cameron - Gariwerd - 125 3 - Dayne Zorko - Cradle Mountain - 124 2 - Shaun Grigg- Cradle Mountain - 124 1 - Michael Hurley- Cradle Mountain - 123
