I suppose some of you think this selection caper is very easy, yes? Then let me set you this question. Who would you put the E on out of my midifeld? Fyfe? McVeigh? Isaac Smith? Hannebery? Tom Mitchell, Ziebell? Crouch? So it was almost a relief when Nick Graham was not named. Yes, I know it is a nice problem to have - but it is still a problem when faced with Lenny's WWW outfit. At least the problem down back is not so hard - who to bench from Duffield, Hibberd, Staker, Taylor, Russell, Maguire? At least Staker is D / F so that narrows it down a bit. Decisions, decisions. And then the forwards. Do I play the pies people and hope they do well against the Dons or bench them and hope the mighty Bombers take the pies apart. Decisions. Just another Friday in a coaches season. Why do I know I will get it wrong? Thoughts on a postage stamp in block capitals please - and no Lenny your thoughts, while valuable, may not necessarily be followed.

Our inaugural captain, Shaun Burgoyne, returns this week, having recovered from going too hard at the rave party a couple of weeks ago. After the positive form of Koby Stevens over the last two weeks since taking on the captains duties, we could not take them away from him and he has retained those duties, with Burgoyne joining Josh Gibson as a joint VC. Despite his BoG performance in round 14, where he won the game for us in the clutch, Chris Masten has been dropped after his insipid showing last week. We can not tolerate such inconsistency at Gariwerd. A bit of a let down this week is the continued absences of Allen Christensen and Shannon Hurn, since Round 12 and the mid season break respectively. Shannon Hurn has still not been able to get into the shape required to play at ORFFA level after really letting himself go during the mid season break. Bundy was extremely close to being right for this game, but is still suffering some lingering effects of the rave a couple of weeks ago as well and we are disappointed to again have to leave him out, when we hoped he'd be right for this game. anyway, the 15 selected are a good bunch and we have full confidence in their ability to upset the Chooks of the foul bay this week.

Would have thought Gariwerd management were a bit scathing towards Chris Masten's performance, given he got a severe ankle sprain in the second quarter.

Grundy V Bellchambers at the centre bounce on a Sunday afternoon. Who will accumulate the most supercoach points? Logic says Bellchambers. But I won't be surprised if Brodie climbs the steps and rings that dinger when the siren sounds. All 5 young Packer rucks are available this week. Bellchambers Grundy Gawn Vardy Gorringe So far Bellchambers and Vardy have got the proverbial nod. The Packers hope to secure a finals position, allowing time for club stalwarts Adam Goodes and Matthew Boyd (1 game played since traded for between them) to return for said finals. Possible even The Real Tom Lynch too.
