Good stuff Chels. Well done! But that Venus Bay result hurts my chances. Now, they must lose next week. So does Wagga Wagga. Exciting!

And a big thanks to Daniel Merrett. Following a month of different form, Daniel was dropped this week for the first time this year. He kindly repaid me with a season high 125. I may just keep you on the bench out of pure spite. :)

Thompson (WWW) 2 - Wright (WI) 1 - Goddard (WWW) E&OE The Waikiks must be the luckiest team in ORFFA history with yet another unlikely win, this time against Lenny's WWW all stars. With the home team on the ropes and the crowd aghast when the corned beef sandwiches ran out, the WWW'sCourtney Dempsey pulled a hammy and with that twang the locals sensed a glimmer of hope. At around the same time reports came through of the heroics being performed by Crouch, Wright and Sauce Jacobs. Head honcho chels's job was preserved for another week when it seemed he was about to join Chief Russell on the scrapheap. Hope you enjoyed your first trip to the land of the long white cloud Lenny and, more importantly, your luck changes for the better sometime soon. Correct weight Chels... congrats on the victory. As soon as we heard the twang in Dempsey's hamstring we knew it was all over. Some decent performances across the board, though Shiel was unusually down. Makes next week all the more interesting.

Injuries to both sides, plus a combined 9 scores of less than 65, meant this game was tough viewing at times, but the Vultures eventually scraped past the Battlers in a tight and willing contest. Watson, Mundy, Parker and Blair led the way for the Vultures, while Wells, Cloke, Treloar and Rich were the home side's best. The fact that young Whitfield can score 141 and still only get 2 votes for the LWM tells some of the story of this match.

I had plans to post the scores of my game tonight, but I've ended up in Emergency and I'm not sure when I'll get out of here, but I probably won't get the scores up til tomorrow night at the earliest. Sorry for the delay.

So, we did get the win. Foul Bay came home strong, with their 3 best scorers coming from their 4 Sunday players, but they were not good enough to hold all of Gariwerd's Sunday players at bay, who did enough for the W. Pretty happy to have more than half our players score triple figures.

    Heres the scores: Foul Bay: Def: Ibbotson DNP, M.Johnson 76, D.Pearce 78, Harwood 66(Emg: Broughton 38) Mid: J.Selwood 103, Dangerfield 111, Liberatore 119, Vince 82 Ruck: Mumford 113 Fwd: Roughead 67, Hawkins 42, Bartel 94, Stokes 104 I/C: Judd 95, Kelly 79

If Melksham is sacked, then so are Betts, Hill and a couple at my end. Pathetic end to the game when all that was needed were average performances to scrape home with a win. Depth still isn't quite there - with McPharlin, Vickery, Seedsman and Frawley out, the replacements weren't able to do the job. Hoping to get maybe a couple back before finals - if I make it - and might spend the rest of the season finding out who can play and who can't. Adam Kennedy will be getting a run this week - and Vickery will be back. Betts - you're dropped. Westhoff - you're forgiven. Good win P'rap - best of luck searching for a top 4 spot. At least Richmond won :)
