GARIWERD DROPS THEIR CAPTAIN Early in the season, it was announced in-house at Gariwerd that a left footer would get the chance to captain the side in this themed round; but during the week, the lefties in the team got together with our Leadership Group and decided that we could not remove Koby Stevens from the role after the team's unprecedented run of success since he was made Cap several weeks ago. BUT, at Gariwerd, we pick the team first and captain second, and in solidarity with the left footers and to avoid having to go back on our word from earlier in the season, we have dropped Koby Stevens in a move bound to shock the fans. Josh Gibson and Nick Dal Santo will be joint captains for this week. Burgoyne will remain vice captain. The only lefties in the team this week are Nick Dal Santo and Josh Gibson. Both of Jared Polec and Jasper Pittard are unlucky to miss out, the former, after being named an emergency for the last 2 weeks, but not even being retained as an emergency for this round of significance for him, and the latter, being dropped this round. If Pittard happens to end up being called up late, he will receive the admirable title of Acting Deputy Vice Captain for this week only. This is a huge game for the club, the biggest in our short history, as a win could put us into the finals. It is unlikely, though, as we also have to count on other results falling our way, we're extremely pumped for the occasion and will be throwing everything at Nuna. For this reason, we will be rushing back Allen Christensen for the game. When there was news of the rave at Gariwerd when Charlie's Opening visited, Bundy took the game off, cause he couldn't wait to get started. He had an almighty bender and is still not quite right, possibly still a tad too fragile to play ORFFA, but we need to take that risk this week. We have also brought Chris Masten straight back in. Chris seems to have learnt his lesson and seems genuinely remorseful for his poor showing 2 weeks ago. He has generally been in excellent form this season, and we believe dropping him after a score in the 20s will do him good. Both inclusions will start on the bench. Losing Judd for the rest of the year is a blow and coupled with the fact that the Tommahawk looks like he can't even break into a light jog, I may have traded myself out of contention. Mummy is rounding into some decent form which means that we can throw Roughy forward which is needed as only Patch gets a pass mark this week. Dahlhaus is banging down the door afer some good performances in the twos over the last three weeks and Kelly's spot is perhaps under some scrutiny from the likes of Thomas, McLean and Vince. Would desperately like to get Ibbotson back from injury as well this week. Selection dilemmas aplenty. Will be interested to see how the other results play out and who my finals opponent will be. Whoever it is, they will be a really good chance to beat me.

I am sure someone will point out the shortcoming in my memory if this has been bettered.
