A stirring win from the boys in their name-sake round to avoid the spoon. Great display shown by the co-captains in Priddis (116), Suban (124) and Lewis (97) to lead by example and eke out some pride. Gus on fire with 7 straight took equalled top votes while Baguley on the benchwith 100 and Conca's 59 (post oop conversion) showed good signs for the future. Onward and upward for the coveted Zac!

1257/15 Bravo Bama! The Eagles decision to drop Hutchings (averaging 100+ of late) costs Darraweit the win. If I find John Worsfold I'll smack him upside the head. Three narrow losses going into the finals - no luck unfortunately. Good news is that I made it - which after all the trades at mid-year I wasn't sure would happen.

In a high scoring affair the consistency of the Iron Knob team got them over the line in a tight match. Some huge scores from the Whitsunday lads kept them in the game with ridiculous scores from Rory Sloane and Matt Lobbe sending tremors through the Iron Knob quarry but in the end they were let down by a few of their team mates and a late withdrawl from J Murdoch. Thanks for the match Terry. Medal Sloane - Whitsunday Lobbe - Whitsunday Douglas - Iron Knob Darling - Iron Knob Minson - Iron Knob / Motlop - Whitsunday

    BTW, I cannot recall a game where neither Zac Clarke's 120 nor Taylor's 119 got a vote! <div>
Yeah that's quite remarkable. I must confess, I did go back over the votes a couple of times as that just didn't seem right! :)

Nunawading (967) were trounced by Gariwerd (1329)
In an insipid effort where not a single Nuffer was able to raise the bat (maybe they were getting ready for cricket season) Gariwerd really showed no mercy with 5 tons and 4 90's. I knew we would be in trouble when I accidently called Mad Monday a week early. It was quite lonely at training.

As we say at the Nuffery, There's always next season. Were joining Carlton for an end of season footy trip and clean out in a couple of weeks. Should be good fun as nobody sent an invite to the Malteser.

Jen, just had a look and in your scores you put in S.Thompson from North Melbourne's score. The one from Adelaide actually got i think 40. I almost made that mistake as well.

so, that means Wagga Wagga have finished 8th. All of Venus Bay, Wagga Wagga and Gariwerd finished on equal points - and all had experienced a draw during the season - and WW had the most points scored, I think about 400 more than Gariwerd, who should finish 9th.

the finalists need to remember to pm me their preferred opponents for week 1 of the finals too. Already got 1 lot. I'll try and remind everyone after the final ladder is announced, but just in case I cant, I thought id better say something brief here now.

If I remember correctly, I traded for your first round PSD, so I know have 2 in a row :D But that means Im out of finals :(

Ant - Do we need to wait for the ladder to ensure we know who finished where in the Top 8/Top 4? My review is done, I'll await Lenny's always stellar work on the ladder before I post it up though.

Cox (WWW) I didn't realise that you had done them Lenny, so I submitted the scores as well and I have come up with a different total to what you have me down as. In the end I still lost. Jen, just had a look and in your scores you put in S.Thompson from North Melbourne's score. The one from Adelaide actually got i think 40. I almost made that mistake as well. No worries, my team was not great anyway, but thanks for clearing that up for me

    I - Minson(120), Mackay(57)

    TOTAL - 1461

In a high scoring affair the consistency of the Iron Knob team got them over the line in a tight match. Some huge scores from the Whitsunday lads kept them in the game with ridiculous scores from Rory Sloane and Matt Lobbe sending tremors through the Iron Knob quarry but in the end they were let down by a few of their team mates and a l[span style='color: #c00000;]ate withdrawl from J Murdoch. Thanks for the match Terry. Medal Sloane - Whitsunday Lobbe - Whitsunday Douglas - Iron Knob Darling - Iron Knob Minson - Iron Knob / Motlop - Whitsunday

The Chooks are the resident home of young Jordan Murdoch. This would be his less talented brother. Alas, it makes no difference to the final result as I'm pretty sure he didn't score a world record 434 points.

Just give enough preferences that it should not matter about final positions. Otherwise, by all means, wait for the final ladder before sending them through. Even wait for tribunal news if you wish ;) I'll probably announce the FIXture on Wednesday arvo/evening.
