First the team, with Matt Kreuzer out for a season long injury (autumn that is) and C.Wood not in to replace him... must hope Billy Longer is a late in or call on the OOP C.Young. VENUS BAY VULTURES ROUND 3 TEAM DEF: Everitt, Malceski, Watts, Yeo (M.Shaw) MID: Beams, Mundy, Gibbs, Gaff (Hoskin-Elliot) RUCK: Longer (OOP - C.Young) FWD: Higgins, Blair, Parker, Howe (Close) INT: Ellis, Melksham

Done mate, I think you could have done it, you have to drop and the select in the new slot, you can't drag between, try next time anyway and see how you go

And the one and only Dada life will be performing pre-game. Since I have never heard of any (except 1 or 2) of your bands, thought I would return the favour They will be performing - So young, So high , as a pump up song for the boys. Suitable song as we have a very young side, and aim to be high on the ladder in next few years!

In the 1970's Dadism was popularised in Tom Stoppard's brilliant play 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead.' Dadaism was an interesting notion of playing on words. Not sure if Fitzy's band was so inspired.

Since we're supposed to pick a band this week, I'll go Oz punk with a football theme. While I don't barrack for them in a football sense, I'm picking The Saints as the band I'm representing this week. Yes, because of the obvious football theme, but also because ‘Know Your Product' is sage advice for coaches in a keeper league. Man after my own heart JC, As we have em at pre game at the Lagoon, I'll whack em on the team chopper and send em ur way for half time, not sure about the brass section tho

I've only just realised Koby Stevens had been dropped. I would have started Michael Evans onfield had I known. Prob won't make much difference in the end.

I'm smelling a bit of deja vu against the Cows again. Poor team selections by me and another shootout, just like last year. Losing team is going to score 1400+ I think. Selwood and Libba have led well so far but I don't like who I have left. Foul Bay - 1030/10 vs Waikiki - 1050/11 Shaw, Mumford, Yarran, Vince, L.Adams vs Hibberd, Dal Santo, M.Robinson, Ziebell and 20 points. Golly, I hope Mummy has another vote getting performance left in him.

Lol. And that's why skim reading is bad. And also why it's important for me to read a thread BEFORE I start drinking. Anyway, we've called in a late replacement act. Given some of the performances so far this year - including scores of 10, 29 & 35 in this round - Bathurst boys The Tenants have been asked to perform a special tribute to the Battlers forward line. They'll be joined on stage by the coaching staff as they belt out their minor hit 'You Shit Me To Tears'.

I am secretly hoping that Ziebell is a late out - think long term norf - and Elliot's 117 as the I/C emergency counts. Must say that some of the 'bit players' have really pit their hands up - getting Paul Kelly to take the half time talk has revealed my failings as a motivational coach. He turned up with a battered old guitar, did an acoustic version of 'From little things big things grow' and looked everyone in the eye. That had some of the team appearing to put weight, height and strength on before my eyes. Wow.

I am expecting North to be conservative with him and not play him, I mean he hasn't trained all week and looked terrible last week with his arm hanging off.
