This is absolute carnage between Mt Beauty and Darraweit - 4 players have gone down injured and been vested with a grand total of less than 60 points between them. Goddard, Nic Nat, Leuenberger and Menzel have all been hurt.

    Foul Bay v Nunawading
    Foul Bay Def: Shaw (110), Bartel (129), Jaensch (109), Johnson (109) Mid: Liberatore (82), Selwood (126), Stokes (124), Kelly (107) Ruck: Mumford (0) Fwd: Roughead (99), Adams (127), Dangerfield (87), Pavlich (125) I/C: Vince (55), Spencer (88) TOTAL: 1477 Nunawading: Def: Broadbent (111), Haynes (86), Simpson (128), Geary (61) Mid: Kennedy (121), O'Meara (105), Stanton (114), Thomas (60) Ruck: Hampson (69) Fwd: Varcoe (74), Jones (93), Lisle (78), Dawes (68) I/C: Cross (101), Myers (0) TOTAL: 1269
Votes: 5 - Bartel (FBC) 4 - SImpson (NUN) 3 - Adams (FBC) 2 - Selwood (FBC) 1 - Pavlich (FBC) Match Report: Despite the final scoreline, the Chooks definitely had their work cut out for them in this one, needing a big second half performance to put the Nuffers away. Losing the Les W Medal leading Shane Mumford with no replacement left a massive, sausage eating whole in the side and some scratchy early performances from Vince, Liberatore and Spencer coupled with some fine games from Simpson, Broadbent and Liam Jones had left Foul Bay in a world of early pain. Saturday night saw the Geelong engine room of Selwood, Bartel, Stokes and Kelly rescuing the side like they have done so many times getting the game back on level terms heading into Sunday. Importantly, Patch Adams kept pace with the imposing JPK and then unluckily the Nuffers lost David Myers to illness. That seemed to buoy the evergreen Matthew Pavlich, the ever reliable Michael Johnson and the increasingly impressive pick 53 of the MSD Matthew Jaensch and the rest was history. Happy to get away with the win. Some interesting selection dilemmas looming at Foul Bay for next week.

Nice work Chief. With Mummy gone I thought the Nuffers might sneak under the radar to cause a headline topping upset. The depth of your side is remarkable and when someone has a down day others eagerly step up to go large. I reckon you could get an 1800+ score one day when the boys all sing from the same hymn book.

Thanks Lenny, Yeah carnage felt by many this wk, no hope for my mid with the WCE massacre. Out of the mire, 'twas good to see Cripps, Robbo and Schoey gets some game time. Ironic that the Franklin freeze was at the expense of the Thompson ton. Will be plenty of coaches replaying that tape.

No worries Ant. :) The zero in the ruck and then Evans OOP plus the green vest really killed your chances. If I have enough forwards available next week, big Trav Cloke and his season avg of 41 will be off to spend some time in the two's.

May need to double check these scores - I added these in a rush and may have missed something given all the injuries that occurred. Darraweit 1156 D: Walker 74, Frawley 131, Gibson 106, McKenzie 87 M: Goddard 11, Armitage 84, Tyson 50, Coniglio 78 R: Nic Nat 27 F: Westhoff 123, Harvey 57, Vickery 25, Hunter 65 I/C: Cornes 125, Hill 113 Mt Beauty 1084 D: Newman 77, Grimes 37, Kade K 64, Bugg 71 M: Boyd 153, Cotchin 65, Sidebottom 109, Hartlett 74 R: Leuenberger 0 F: Rioli 77, Nick Riewoldt 119, D Martin 94, T Menzel 13 I/C: Ellis 54, Viney 77 Darraweit 1156 d Mt Beauty1084 A forgettable match, with injuries and poor form pretty much across the board. Four players subbed out to injury, as well as a variety of spud-like efforts from the highly credentialed. Darraweit's backline - not for the first time in the past 12 months - was the difference in the win. One feels though that this match - and the injuries - could have ramifications in the weeks ahead. Les W: 5 - Boyd (MBU) 4 - Frawley (?!) (DGD) 3 - Cornes (DGD) 2 - Westhoff (DGD) 1 - N Riewoldt (MBU) Just as a query - If a situation happens where a gent like Leuenberger gets injured and records a 0 score, yet the team has an emergency, the 0 stands, doesn't it? Mt Beauty didn't have an emergency for Berger so in this case unfortunately he joins the parade of poor performances ... but I seem to remeber SC changed its rules after a debacle where a player took the field, was injured, recorded a 0 yet everyone got their emergency's score. What's our rule on this?

Thanks Len - have the matchday stats from tsLeagues so probably don't need the score list from here on in (thanks for posting that over the past 3-4 rounds though). I'll get onto the review today.
