Quote from Mattoc on April 20, 2011, 12:59 i dont like trading like for like, but how about boak for Moloney next week?? i know boak should have more upside, but Moloney is on fire and looks the goods for a breakout season (finally!)
Boak is just starting to warm up after his interrupted pre-season (takes a little while to get over having your appendix removed) - he'll be pumping out 110+ regularly. And as DC said, Moloney is very like Bolton - puts up some good scores but often follows up with sub-standard scores.
Spot on Stowie - love Grimes and he'll be a good player in a year or so. But he'll get the chop this week you'd think with McGuane and Rance back. And with Kel Moore back from injury around Rd 6-7, he'll not have much of a chance for a little while.
I'm with you on Roo Chris88, but at that price he does make my toes curl! He could average 90 from here on in and sit as F7 nicely, for 340k.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/daniel-giansiracusa-to-miss-for-dogs/story-e6frf9jf-1226041967456 mitch wallis might be getting a run with a few doggies out
banz - barring a miracle this week he is likely to drop in price again (I think, I stand corrected if that's wrong). If you want JRoo really cheaper, wait a week. And vanderhaar - yep - Wallis almost a monty for a debut with all those guys out. Cross being unwell is probably the biggest fantasy concern.
From what I've read, that is correct, suther. He sustained a foot injury, and those bloody things can linger for ages as it's difficult to not put any weight on that part of the body. No idea of the severity, however. I was looking at doing Lester-Coad until Coad did his hammy... Ah well, I'm sure there will be another downgrade option down back in the not too distant future.
Cross could definitely hurt a few people if he doesn't get up for the flight to Perth. But with the Swans, Eagles and Demons having the bye, the midfield is probably the one line where people are in a position to cover an additional non-starter.

Quote from Jason on April 20, 2011, 11:28 @Port_leschenault Can you afford Knights -> rookie, Green -> Chapman?
With COH, $200 short of being able to bring in J.Tiprat and can only bring in Dixon from that list of rookies. Bringing in Chappy would be nice but would then lead to the problem of 3 prems on the bench in the next round. Thanks for the advice (and to the others), may try it in getting Pav or Goodes into the side
@ Spud - i just read the AFL injury info about him and they're not doing scans until next week. I know there'll a swag of downgrade targets to come, but now have an itchy finger to bring in Toy.
murphy -> chapman chapman sub Krak Krak on bench (mf), libba on Krak really giving me some worries now, especially with richardson and Dir Petrie up front
Purge the urge, Suther! The one thing I'll say about Toy, is that his kick:handball ratio has been 3:1 in both his games which is tasty. It's a shame we can't get another look at him before his price goes up eh? And even more frustrating that, if the candidate to get the chop is Lester, the decision has to be made before tomorrow as well.
Hi All, Love your thoughts on the 'sideways' trade of Bruce before he loses more value. Been pondering all week and thinking Newman or Shaw. Possibly more to Newman even tho he is 40k more but no bye til R11...Shaw has two coming up between now and R13.
Bruce sideways to Newman is not a terrible idea, if your call is that Bruce won't regain the formline from last year at his new club this year. If you can wait a few weeks, Lake might be a sideways trade option too.
Thanks Jason, My backs have been ok with Grimes, Heppell, Goddard/Lids/Gibbs, Duigan so Bruce is dragging the chain. Will move into Newman and leave Enright, Shaw as my two upgrade targets for Duigan & Heppell. All things LTI going well of course!
Call me crazy but I'm seriously considering the following: Goddard -> Adcock Knights -> Fyfe Here's my logic... 1. Goddard has a BE of 188 with two games travelling away plus will drop around 70k over 3 rounds at his current average of 111. 2. Adcock is scoring the same, has 2 out of his next 3 games at the Gabba with his next two opponents being Richmond and Gold Coast. Set to make 100k if he can hold that average. 3. Fyfe is set to go up considerably over the next 3 weeks (including R6 bye) and will be great as a potential keeper or most likely be a sideways/minor upgrade trade for Chapman/Rioli/Pavlich in R7-8. I'm an aggressive trader. 4. Downgrading Knights will be too hard considering there aren't any forward rookies at the moment plus I don't think he can rise above 280k - dead weight really. 5. I gain $224k on the Goddard trade for hopefully the same points over the next 3 rounds with a predicted gain of around 190k from Fyfe and Adcock. 6. MPP allows me to upgrade either a MID or FWD and gives me extra resting space for the R6 bye. Of course I plan on getting Goddard back in but for cheaper. Thoughts? Current side is: B: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Heppell, Duigan (Toy, Stanley, Lower) M: Swan, Judd, Selwood, Curnow, Liberatore, Swallow (Harris, Krakouer, Hibberd) R: Sandilands, Cox (Smith, MaCauley) F: Franklin, Riewoldt, Goodes, Harvey, Higgins, Knights, Tapscott (Darling, Matera, Richardson)
