Another mix up! I should just give up. I wonder if the boss will let me take the rest of the week off.
Never fear, trivia will be back next week. I will have some scotch tonight and will forget my indiscretions by the time the next round of matches commence.
Hughenden Prairie Dogs 1,331 defeat Eden Whalers 1,121 Eden’s woes continued this week with a 210 point loss to Hughenden. Hughenden were out of the blocks early against the undermanned Whalers and in the form Sandilands (150) took full advantage of the lack of opposition ruck with Oliver (143), Shiels (99), Ward (110) and Kerridge(93) the benefactors. The Whalers tried all day with some team spirit shown through Curnow (118), Atkins (113), Crisp (119) and Andrews (107) but with the long list of injuries to key players and others out of form it was always going to be a tough road trip to the Dino Dome. Mixed bag in the forward in backlines for both teams with the Prairie Dogs duo of Yeo (113) and Sheppard (92) controlling the Whalers forwards for most of the day with only Cunningham (99) and Lynch (86) the only ones to break their tags. The game highlight was again the Sanidlands / Oliver show with the home fans ecstatic to finally see some positive return for their patience during 2017. Hughenden are starting to finally show some consistency and at 4 wins (double the number from 2017) the coach is feeling confident that a top 8 berth is not out of the question. Sadly Eden’s top 8 chances have all but evaporated for 2018 with injuries and out of form players causing the 0 – 8 result so far for 2018. Hughenden are at home this week hosting the Southern Cross Sandgropers who are on fire, looking to consolidate their position in the top 4. Eden are home searching for their first win against the Gisborne Grenades. BAFFU Awards 3 Sandilands, Hughenden (150) 2 Oliver, Hughenden (143) 1 Crisp, Whalers (119) BigTap – Sandilands (150)
Doesn’t bother me in the slightest mate. Honestly I couldn’t care less if my opponents dont post match reports, I rarely read them and they aren’t that interesting.
It's 1/4 time at The Stadium and the home team have jumped out early and have scored 3/282/94 with Greenwood 112 and Doedee back in form with 91, while the Visitors from Coolgardie haven't arrived yet, as they have been withheld by The Immigration Dept. at Suvarnabhumi Airport due to the Manager @JPK not having his Re-Entry Permit with him, as he was instructed to by them, when he left Thailand only a week ago, after his unsuccessful spying mission on the Barcrawlers. Maybe an exchange of a few slabs of Leo will be enough to see them at The Stadium in time for the start of the next Qtr..
Early in the first at Mill Park sees the battling Bunyips out to an early lead with Laird raising the bat SFB 1/78 BBU 3/207 @martyg
@bryzza Out at The Swamp the visiting Vikings lead the Crocs by 88 points with an additional player having taking the field so far. Cow Bay: 323 from 4 for an ave of 80.8 Nuytsland: 41 from 5 for an ave of 82.2
@bryzza Now 2/3rds of the way through and the Vikings are still in front. Cow Bay: 698 from 9 for an ave of 77.6 Nuyts: 852 from 10 for an ave of 85.2 It's down to Withderden, Robertson, Dow, Lycett, Gunston and McDonald vs Mitchell, Viney, Petracca, Mckay, Cousins and 154 points From here, the Vikings are the favourites to finish off the match in style.
An arm wrestle as 1 plays 2, with the Armadillos holding the advantage 769/9(85.4) to the Smugglers 659/8(82.4). @insider
Half time at The Stadium and the Prospectors @JPK have overcome the problems encountered at the Airport and have powered to 9/771/85.7 with the midfield of Miller 127 Wines 105 and Clark 82 completely dominating the lack lustre effort put up by the Hometown mids, while down back it has been left to Tuohy 122 for the Barcrawlers, 12/943/78.6, to try and stem the scoring. The 2nd half should see the Visitors, with Sicily Astbury Duggan Martin Wright and Rioli still to play, be far to good for the locals, who have only Barrass Robinson and Impey left to play.
Thanks mate. I have my boys on 770 points, but the final score in TSL will be the determining factor. Kinda spewing I left M Baguley on the bench...
I think most coaches did that... and had T Kelly (48) on field. There's a 74 point difference right there.
