It's Qtr time at the Stadium and the visitors, Coolgardie Prospectors, have a commanding lead 3/217 (av. 72.30) over the local team ,Banchang Barcrawlers 2/113 (av.56.5) who just can't seem to get their hands on the Sherrin. Here's hoping for an improved display over the rest of the game.
Farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk Mummy's OUT! Must have been that bloody poisoned beer Choppers gave the team last night.

Yeah mate, we are allowed. Choosing the correct emergency slot is as much a dilemma as choosing scoring players.
It's 1/2 time at The Stadium and The Barcrawlers have got themselves back into the game, thanks to some dodgy beer served at the welcoming buffet. The score at 1/2 time is the Home team leading the Visitors 11/868 (av.78.9) to 11/827 (av.75.2). This one is going to go down to the wire...........

West will be a good pickup in the coming weeks with Leuenberger looking to be out for a few. Hopefully Billings manages to get a gig in the Saints squad this arvo, as a late in. Johnson, Franklin, Hurley all good players to come. At this stage I am very happy and would go so far as to say Gisborne would be favourites from here, but knowing my luck...

Final Score Goondiwindi (Goannas) 1,266 def by Groote Eylandt (Barracudas) 1,283 Big performers for the Goanna’s was Mitchell with his 36 disposals and to 2 goals, he was relentless and polished and showed why he’s the best in the best business. Bartel was turning back time with another great performance, 2 goals, 26 touches, 9 marks and 2 tackles. Swan was sailing in this 4th round clash, back to form for the tattooed one and hit back at his critics. A solid game from the Goanna’s midfield with Jack and Shield posting good results and Breust kicked a couple of goals and was very good all day. Sandi the giant had 45 hit-outs in a field day at home and DeBoer was vital in the last term to rack up 23 touches and was one of the Goanna’s best for the game. It came down to the wire, unfortunately with dud performances from Thomas, Hall and Ward the 4 points went to the visitors and the the Goanna’s perfect start to the season has a tarnish on it. The Barracudas got a good start to the game, the Barracuda’s defence bulked up after last week’s cracks started to appear with Frawley leading the way with 2 goals, 24 possessions was a shining star, Murphy solid and Langford played the tagging role to shut down Thomas and Hall. Cunnington had a magnificent day on the park with 30 possession and 10 tackles in his head to head on the field producing his best game this year so far. Nicholls stood up when it counted and Burgoyne turned it on in the first term with 25 disposals for the game and set the tone. Ball and Gibbs both had solid games with plenty of touches, marks and kicks. Cotchin was hand-cuffed to record his lowest scores since 2009, some commentators have viewed the tactics used on the Barracudas captain were illegal. Darling this week had a shocker. In the seconds Spencer and Patty Cripps had great games and continue to mature. The Cuda’s held on with Mzungu chipping in with an average game to take the 4 points for another win on the road. We’ll have our Walleye out looking to lure in and party on. I reckon if there'd been a mercy rule I would have called it at half time. 5 first choice players out, then Myers a late out for essendon. The Sandgropers weren't even close. From memory (I didn't look for too long, as it was so bad) but I had at least half a dozen players score under 50 points and my top scorer was Yarran (WTF???). I'd be lucky to have scored 900 points. Next week back at home the team should regain 4 of the 6 missing and we'll at least be able to field a full team and have some emergencies. Might start tanking (not that I'll need to) so I can get in a better position for the mid season draft. I guess I would have taken 2 and 2, but 2weeks ago I would have thought I'd be 3 and 1, well done Gisbourne, congrats on the 4 points.

Thompson DD.. Thanks. I forgot I made the change. I looked up Lamb and thought he had a 0, so I gave you Day's score. All was a bit rushed last night. Had 'one of the those weekends' as we have just bought a house and moving in on Thursday so trying to spend the weekend getting old house cleaned up and new house ready. Regardless, you have an awesome line up, and you are my pick for taking out this year's prize. Only thing that will stop you is a bucketload of injuries, which for your sake, I hope doesn't happen - unless I am playing you in the GF!

Southern Cross was depleted by injuries, 5 first choice players not playing, and ended up with 2 donuts, but also 3 tons. A Franklin 29 was highly surprising, raising questions as to why Sydney payed so much money for him. A shock loss for the Gropers in the eyes of some, Gisborne managed the win with 2 players not playing and only 1 ton. McVeigh is finally showing a little bit of worth, and Gisborne will is very pleased Steven managed to get through his first game back from injury unscathed. Many disappointing scores for the Gropers, who in the end where beaten purely because of some extremely low scores which more than outweighed a number of good scores. The town of Gisborne is celebrating still after parties started last night, and the town is expecting more wins from the boys. Votes 3. Yarran 2. McVeigh 1. Johnson
so much for the home team doing stats n updates... regardless, the Armadillos triumphed over the flys 1394 to 1339. A little too close for comfort and being pipped by Pakky for round 4 top score, the boys will cop a flogging on the track this week to sharpen up
