The home team support would love awin, but realistically are just after some inproved performances from the underperforming forward line.

Gisborne is proud to announce that barring any late changes, it will be the first time this year a full team is on the park! Plus, we have an emergency!
No excuses this week for Pakenham, with a full squad and 4 playing emergencies also with home ground advantage over an under manned Manangatang. Early scores Pakenham 401 for 4 Manangatang 145 for 4
Gisborne have slid into favouritism with the bookies after the Smugglers' Hamish Hartlett was a late out with the sniffles. Despite having 4 playing interchanges none were named on the 'rock solid' midfield line, leaving Smuggler fans questioning once again whether coach Damo is worth his big money contract.
Its a very slow star out here in Coolgardie, with the Prospectors taking on the Whalers for the Scotch 'n' Coke 'n' Stein. At orange-peel break its the Prospectors leading, 219 / 3 / 73 to the Whalers 108 / 2 / 54. At this rate it looks like both teams have already gotten into the scotch!
Big boil-over happening at the 'Rat with the stern words from the coach in the past few weeks clearly having the reverse effect. Season low scores for all and sundry embarrassing the Armadillos with the (insert whoever the f is owning me at the moment) doing the complete opposite and posting several season high scores broughton 38 mckenzie 90 87 43 57 89 98 40 s.edwards l.adams 81 98 88 ---- 809 *************** duffield s.thompson r.thompson 82 pearce 102 prestia 128 132 mayne 108 121 ballantyne s.selwood 73 ---- 749
Hal-time in Coolgardie, and its not looking good for the home side. Prospectors 742 / 10 / 74.2 with Petterd (Vlastuin), O'Meara, Cox, Petrie, and D Jackson to come. Whalers 712 / 9 / 79.1 with Rance, Harvey, Lynch, May, Stanley, Suban to come. Clearly the remaining boys have to pull their collective fingers out, otherwise its going to be another bad home loss for the Prospectors.
