    The boys are pumped for the return of footy and are ready to build on a solid start to the season. Initial matchday squad includes a few new faces after the recent trade/draft period and the anticipated return of a star forward (earning his place on the bench). <p class='p1]Def: <p class='p1]Shannon Hurn[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Jasper Pittard <p class='p1]Shaun ATLEY[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Cameron GUTHRIE <p class='p2] <p class='p1]Mid: <p class='p1]Brett Deledio[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Marc Murphy <p class='p1]Jared POLEC[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Bradley Hill <p class='p1](Anthony MORABITO) <p class='p2] <p class='p1]Ruc: <p class='p1]Tom HICKEY <p class='p1](Billy Longer) <p class='p2] <p class='p1]Fwd: <p class='p1]Patrick Dangerfield[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Paul Chapman <p class='p1]Brandon MATERA[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Jamie Elliott <p class='p1](Colin Sylvia) <p class='p2] <p class='p1]Int: <p class='p1]Brock McLean[span class='Apple-tab-span' style='white-space: pre;] Luke Dunstan <p class='p1](Martin Gleeson)

The Grenades are very excited to have inaugural Captain Ivan Maric returning from a long injury. For the first time ever, the Grenades will have a full playing team with 4 on the emergencies, as well as 4 players not good enough to get a guernsey

Quarter time at Groper Park has the home side2/182/91, with the visitors2/226/113. New recruits for both teams have performed well with Taylor scoring 96 for Southern Cross and Buddy demonstrating his local knowledge with 108 not to mention Shaw's debut forPackenham netting him 118. The game has started well and is relatively evenly poised, hopefully the Parasite midfield is a little off after sampling the local 'specially' made pub meal we supplied for dinner tonight ;)

After the first match, Gisborne are leading Ararat 152/2 to 0/0. Gisborne is relatively happy with their chances, going in underdogs due to a shocking start to the year. Gisborne is hoping to storm home. Come on Gisborne!!

Score update: Eden Whalers vs Christmas Island Smugglers It looks like both sides are playing 1 switch. That factored in, the Whalers have taken an early lead: 1/144 vs 1/116.

I note Holky's comment above 'about seeing the scores from last night and not needing to make changes'...... I was under the impression that as this is not a split round, no changes could be made after the opening bounce of the ball. I need clarification once more on what constitutes a split round and what doesn't. I've already lost one match because I made changes after the opening bounce. As I understand it, all teams were final as of the opening bounce last night.

Hi Choppers, below is from the official rules thread: 'cc) Matches on Thursday will be locked out at the start of the game, but games for the rest of the round will be locked out at the beginning of the game on Friday'.
