Who's running the float for tips for the premiership? I had money on Pearcedale a month ago, they are looking good so far. The Goon would have to be favorites yeah? Sorry JPK :) Paky have slipped off the betting chart all together, rip up your tickets if you had them

Bloody hell the Barracuda's have gone walk-about.
Let's hope they make it back before the start of round 15.

Sorry its taken me so long to post a match report, I'd like to say that its because I've had a really busy week, but its probably got more to do with the fact that I'm just p!ssed with the poor performance of my boys. Its another home loss for the Prospectors, our only two losses for the season, this time going down to the Goondiwindi Goannas 1299 to 1266. Once again the Prospectors forwards failed to show up, with Matt Jones having to push forward from the midfield to fill the gap of only having three players, although Droopy did manage an excellent 101 points, which is more like what we've been expecting of him all season long. In the rucks, we're still playing with Cox out, but Big Mummy is back in his match-winning form, with 152 points leading all-comers for the match. The mids were a bit topsy-turvy, with Wines and Captain JPK putting on a show, while Ebert and Jaeger appeared to just plod along all weekend without putting in any real effort. The solids performances down back were lacking, with no-one topping 80 points - it must be the first time all season that we've had such a leaky backline. If any one of these little shortfalls was overcome we could have won the game. But lets not take anything away from the Goannas, who put in a solid performance, and did everything they needed to do to beat us on the day (weekend). The Goons' backline was just as miserable as the home sides' efforts, with most players performing well below expectations - looking in your direction Bartel - a measly 78 points helped keep us in the game. The mids was a mirror image of the Prospectors mids, with Ward and Shiel both performing well, while Swan and Jack must have been plodding around with Ebert and O'Meara. Come to think of it, I did see a group of four players sitting at the bar a little earlier than expected on Sunday morning! Lurch was gallant in the rucks, but he was never going to be a match for big Mummy. We've got a shoe-in for the Giant Tap - there isn't anyone out there capable of hitting 150 each week (who isn't the son of a bloke who chose to walk directly back home after a game at the MCG on 26 September, 1992). The visitors forwards caught the same disease the locals have had all year - a serious case of under-performing. Breust did his job with 110, but a Hawkins 52 was indicative of just how painful it was for the fans watching the forwards from both teams pretend to ply their trades. The biggest difference for the Goannas, and what really got them over the line, was the boys on the interchange. Shiels and Smith came on to blow the game wide open, and open out the 30 point lead that ended up being the final margin (33 points actually) between the two teams. So yes, on behalf of everyone else in the league, congrats to the Goannas for stopping my Prospectors going two games clear on top of the ladder. From everyone in Coolgardie, damn you Goondiwindi! As we've become accustomed to, Shane Mumford once again lead the way with 152 points in the BOG awards. Next best was Ollie Wines on 130 points, while the virtual bronze medal was awarded to Callan Ward for his 120 point performance. Next week sees the ladder-leading Prospectors staying at home for two weeks in a row, hosting the Budgies... the Christmas Island Smugglers. Meanwhile the second-placed Goondiwindi is back home against the foot-of-the-ladder Cow Bay Crocs. Good luck to all teams for round 15.

In: Stringer, Campbell, Taylor Out: Crouch, Cameron The season can't finish soon enough for Southern Cross. Some stellar performances over the course of the season from Duncan, Fyfe, LeCras & Yarran have given a hint of what's on offer but until the kids mature and start contributing there's going to be some pain. Swallow will be better next year after the run. Taylor, Hurley, Hansen and Ryder are able support that all have room for improvement. A fit Kreuzer can lift the teams score by 40 points per week and add depth to a small ruck division. The board thinks there's plenty of talent on the list and every game for Docherty, McDonald, Stringer, Day, Sheed, Crouch & Acres is only going to make the team stronger. An almost guaranteed bottom 4 finish will give the club access to either a quality free agent or potential star of the future, which player gets drafted will be left upto the recruiters as the board has faith in them to steer the squad into contention within the next 3 seasons.

The poorly traveled Bulls hit the road this week across to Southern Cross, in a must win game to stay in the mix for a top 8 spot. Of major concern is the inability to find a starting Ruckman with McEvoy seemingly out of favour - here's hoping for a late call up! B: Birchall, Mackie, Ibbotson, Dempster (Rampe) M: Rockliff, Boyd, James Kelly, Stanton (Josh Kelly) R: McEvoy (Ried OOP) F: Roughy, Dahlhaus, Bird, Jetta (lynch) I: Bastinac, Cunningham

Cow Bay Crocs Round 15 Team

    In: D Simpson, J Martin
    Out: C Beams, K Stevens

Def: Everitt, Garland, Schoenmakers, D Talia
Mid: Libba, B Ellis, Scully, J Martin (K Stevens)
    Ruc: Ceglar (Gawn)
Fwd: Gunston, Cameron, Patton, Paparone (J Merrett)
Int: Hrovat, D Simpson (C Beams)

Jack Martin makes his first appearance for the Crocs after the coaching staff lost patience with Koby Stevens.

Claye Beams still appears to be finding his feet and has been replaced by ruckman Dawson Simpson.

In a match against the 2nd placed Goondi, the Crocs just hope to be competitive. Tom Hawkins is probably smiling now after being traded from a team in contention for the inaugural wooden spoon to a team in contention for the inaugural premiership.

Big match this week for the Grenades. Even with the long trip over, Serengeti would definitely start as short favourites. Coming off a loss, they should bounce back well, but an up and down Gisborne team may cause a shock to the competition. If Gisborne wants to hold onto the very slim chance of making finals, it must win all matches. Go the Grenades! Selected team McVeigh, Grundy, Seedsman, Harwood - Hombsch Thomas, Douglas, Steven, Hill - Neale Maric Riewoldt, Casboult, Podsiadly, Billings - Ambrose Masten, Christensen - Wellingham Also, to anyone who has PMed me over the past couple of days, I cannot access them for some reason or another. It says I have 5 but I have no way to check them.

When I uploaded the fixture I put the team code for Goondiwindi twice in round 15 instead of the code for Groote Eylandt. Sorry. I'm working with Walesy to fix it... He tells me just uploading a new file will screw up the fixtures good and proper, so I won't do that!

Thanks for sorting the fixture problems out JPK. Pakenhams team lineup is in. After a tough week on the track the boys are hoping for a better performance this week. A big matchup between two finals hopeful teams could see a nil all draw with both clubs struggling to get anything going of late, the home crowd fans are hoping to see some scoring but the money is on a boring crappy dullgame to watch. Lets hope both clubs prove all wrong and have a great match with some high scores for both teams. Good luck insider ;) With finals fast approaching the Parasites better hit some form soon or the bright start to the year could all go to waist, the pressure is on this week, a loss could see the coach and team manager (me) go off the rails!! Team: B: Simpson, Dempsey, Carlisle, Darley (Brown) M: Ablett, Beams, Barlow, Sidebum R: Pyke F: Roo, Bud, Higgins, D.Merrett I: BJ, Viney In: Darley, Carlisle, Sidebum Out: Bellboy, Mackay, Shaw With Darley finally making an appearance the management is very relieved, the defender was rated highly by people within the club and was taken with a high draft pick which to this point seems a very stupid drafting decision, we are hopeful he shows something this week to justify my silly decision making. Also good timing since my second best newly acquired def Shaw is missing and for some time, hopefully junior can hold the spot until his return. Alsothe inclusion of Sidebum strengthens the mids and pushes BJ to the IC which is a luxury to have. Go you duds this week, come on..........do something
