Sorry guys, its been a terrible few weeks for me, which means I haven't had the time to dedicate to SC as I would like. I've missed so many trade opportunities... Anyway, the Prospectors side lining up this week to take on The Staghorn Flat Bulls will once again be playing with Cox out! Defenders: Hooker, Terlich, Pedersen, Baguley - Petterd Midfield: JP Kennedy, Wines, O'Meara, Ebert - M Jones Rucks: Mumford Forwards: Petrie, Vickery, Tomlinson, Hunter - Jonas (OOP) Interchange: D Jackson, Vlastuin - X Ellis Lets hope we can get back into the winners circle, after a disastrous few weeks.

A couple of changes for the round 17 clash against the Sandgropers, with a possible rest of Derickx (again, again), Sutcliffe comes in and has been named as the emergency. Langford finally makes a comeback and is named the emergency for the inter-change.

    Go Cuda's
Welcome to the goldfields Cuda's, fish don't normally go too well in the desert do they? The Sandgropers are gunning for 3 in a row against top 8 teams.

Late team sheet from the Bulls, the selection committee reportably has been in a state of shock given that there are2 ruckmen available for selection this week. Captain Rockliff is out which hurts the teams chances which are fast running out... B: Birchall, Mackie, Dempster, Rampe (Buntine) M:Boyd, Kelly, Bird, Stanton (Lester) R: McEvoy F: Roughead, Dahlhaus, Lynch, Jetta (Daniher) I: Reid, Bastinac (Josh Kelly)

Half Time and with Griffen as a late out Eden still lead King Island 9/686 (av. 76.22) to 5/467 (av. 93.4) Macrae will probably get the 3 scoring 172 and 43 disposals, (I must include tagging next training)

The Smugglers have a slight lead at Flying Fish Cove park, 810/10 (81) to the Armadillos' 768/11 (69.8). The ruckmen have been the standouts on both sides, with McIntosh 144 getting the better of Minson 108.

With two players still to come for the Prospectors, its all over in Coolgardie, as the visiting Bulls give the locals and absolute pasting and continue their slide down the ladder! Some poor team selection, a couple of disappointing performances, and the bewilderment that JPK can grab a record 29 contested possessions but still only score 140 points, has absolutely killed off any change the Prospectors have, unless big Mummy makes another 50 hitouts to advantage in the last quarter! Lets not take anything away from Staghorn Flat, who clearly came to play. Some superstar efforts all over the field saw the Bulls get near the magical 1500 point mark. Full write-up to follow the Ballantyne Suspension fest *dirty bastard*. [IMG]

The slide continues! The Staghorn Flat Bulls paste the Coolgardie Prospectors by 173 points. Even with ideal team selection, the Prospectors still would have gone down by 15 points (or more if the Bulls had their best team on the park!) which simply goes to show that the home side were completely outclassed by the visitors. <p >[IMG] There was a clear display of dominance from the Bulls, and a clear display of ineptitude by the Prospectors and the team selectors. Some absolutely woeful performances by players like Terlich (with Petterd breathing down his neck) and Ebert, were contrasted by the Bulls stellar efforts from players like Dahlhaus and Reid. The best on ground voting was a very close affair, with top marks going to Brent Stanton (SFB) with 142 points, the runner up was Luke Dahlhaus (SFB) with 141 points, and preventing the trifecta was Josh P. Kennedy (CP) with 140 points (who only just pipped the Bulls' Sam Reid on 139). You can't get much closer than that! Next week sees the Staghorn Flat Bulls back home against the in-form Christmas Island Smugglers (who may still be leading the league after this weeks games). Meanwhile the stumbling Coolgardie Prospectors will be lining up for another hiding, this time from the Pearcedale Panthers. Good luck to all teams, as its looking very likely my season is about to be over!

My rough calculation has The Barracudas beating the Sandgropers in a tight one by 8 points, 1260 to 1252. I will confirm this after dinner :)

Final score Bunyips - 1202. Cow Bay Crocs - 974. The Bunyips copped a rare donut in the midfield with Scott Selwood not playing. After his dismal year, I am hoping he comes back better than ever. A few donuts from the visiting Cow Bay boys did not help their final score. A massive 144 from David Armitage (INT) has definitely helped and will stand up this week for a POOYA award!
