Hey im totally with you EE - if i were to win and make it thru to finals im only making up the numbers as my squad is decimated thru injury and bad form, so really im just depriving myself a better draft pick... im just a stickler for rules thats all. Whether its people being dodgy or its completely legit 'real life' reasons, i still think rules are rules and should be abided by. But anyway thats y we appointed Tomster commish and thats why he gets paid the big bucks - to make the call on things like this!

Watts backed up well with 17 disposals with Goodes letting the limelight shine on the young ones, picking up 14 disposals. Young Sutcliffe gave the rucking contest a good go after Ball was omitted. In his comeback game Hannebery was locked down all day by the visitors however he still managed 13 disposals. Lewis went ballistic this week racking up a massive 34 disposals and even put one through the goals in a rampage from this young man who sealed it for the home team in picking up the 4 points and finishing the regular season on a high. More importantly the coveted Islanders Cup will make its home at Barracuda’s for the next 12 months. Mad Monday will never be the same with this drink vessel. The visitors start with a bang, Heppell putting a goal through and collecting 32 disposals this kid is a major star. Judd was magnificent kicking the first goal of the game and had 2 by day’s end. He played a vital role out of the centre with 27 disposals. Tyson kicked on and picked up 30 disposals with Harlett having a solid game in grabbing 19 disposals. Another come back game was for McIntosh, the big man was on fire controlling the tap outs. Gaff made the most of his touches picking up a massive 34 disposals, however the same couldn’t be said of Witts how could only manage 15 disposals. A solid game from Suckling and Harbrow grabbing 24 & 17 disposal. Harbrow switched it up to be in front of the sticks 3 times and Johnson of the Michael kind had an average day with 13 disposals. MacKenzie also had a great day working hard for his 21 disposals. The forward line was lead by the son of a gun Martin who only kick 1 goal and collected 21 disposals. Wright kick one as well and grabbed 27 disposals however some went astray. Both White and Tippett of the Kurt kind only picked up 8 & 7 disposals while White kicked true once and Tippet twice. Unfortunately for Tippett he was subbed out for the last quarter and may have been the difference between a win and a loss. I would vote for no 'win/draw' (4/2) points regardless of the result and the points for to be added in the points for column of the last entered team. That way you still get something if it was a genuine error but somewhat punished for not entering a team and also makes it a step more difficult for outright tanking.
Wow, what a close match up this week versus the Gisborne Grenades. A team that has been suggested in the media as possibly tanking, well - they gave the Bunyips a run for their money this week!. Whilst the Bunyips enjoyed a purple patch early in the season and posted some big scores, injuries and poor form have stuck the Blanchetown boys very hard. Scott Selwood, Rory Laird,Tom Langdon and even big man Giles all out.. Not to mention the other rookies and spuds sitting on the pine. Only having 13 available players to select from, makes it pretty hard to field a team. Sam Dwyer's 33, Ballantyne's 41 and Rory Thompson's 45 all tried to destroy the Bunyips chance of success this week, so it was on the backs of 3 great men that got the points. Pendles 128 (mr consistent), Robbie Gray 126 (welcome back mate) and the big man, the Giant Tap, Big Sauce Jacobsplaying against arguably the 2nd best ruck in competition (SC Scoring that is) Stefan Martin. The big man amassed a mighty 164 points to get the Bunyips over the line 1026 to 1016. Gisborne were unlucky not to get a win this week with a few of their stars falling short of what normally would be expected of them, Jack Reiwoldts 85, McVeigh's 104 and even Masten's 47 in a winning side all held Gisborne back from getting over the line. A special mention to Jack Steven's 104 from the Interchange bench, could signal things to come from the fallen superstar. Thanks for the challenge Commish!
Oh god, looks like my team didn't save. Did it Friday night but it didn't come through. That's a terrible way to finish the season. Sorry, guys.

Problem is this round the donuts advantage the team not posting and disadvantage me. Surely the weighting should be in favour of the coach that has posted a team. If I win by out scoring his now posted team, fair enough, but my opposition shouldn't gain at my cost. Hey im totally with you EE - if i were to win and make it thru to finals im only making up the numbers as my squad is decimated thru injury and bad form, so really im just depriving myself a better draft pick... im just a stickler for rules thats all. Whether its people being dodgy or its completely legit 'real life' reasons, i still think rules are rules and should be abided by. But anyway thats y we appointed Tomster commish and thats why he gets paid the big bucks - to make the call on things like this! Had TTT fielded a team and won, you would be 9th but them's the breaks (oh no, you made the finals )
We can't change rules during the season, but I think its time we got very tough on missing team entries and tanking for next season. What I'm thinking is something along the lines of: Any coach failing to enter a team will be given zeroes across the board, unless a valid reason can be supplied prior to the commencement of the next round. If the same coach fails to enter a team on any subsequent occasion without a valid reason, they will be penalised one draft position for each round that is missed after the first transgression. Hopefully I can pull my team together after X Ellis got injured, and D Cox will probably be rested again. Never mind that half my team are too lazy to turn up to the games anyway!!!

I've just had a call from my Travel Agent... she wants to know where the Bulls are travelling too this week... At this rate it looks like the end of season budget will be blown on hiring a private jet to get to the game!
Very pleased to have taken out the minor premiership, A lot of luck along the way has helpedwith some timely scores from the lesser lightsin some gamesto help get the job done. Losing Ablett has hurt my chances for the flag, but with a little more luck who knows......At least I can hang my hat on something, minor premier isa good thinga successful year without a doubt.
