The Prospectors may be in a bit of strife this week, with some players thinking that the season has already finished and heading off for holidays. At-least now we know which direction to point the bus in, as we make the long drive over towards King Island (and then catch a ferry to mainland Tassie, then another bloody ferry to the island... if we left yesterday we might be there in time for the semi-finals!). The only good news for the boys is that last time we met, we came out of the match with the four points. The Prospectors elimination final team set to take on the Monarchs: Def: Cale Hooker, Ricky Petterd, Mark Baguley, Nick Vlastuin Mids: Josh P Kennedy, Brad Ebert, Oliver Wines, Jaeger O'Meara - Daniel Wells Rucks: Shane Mumford Fwds: Drew Petrie, Adam Tomlinson, Lachlan Hunter, Matt Jones (OOP) Int: Dean Cox, Thomas Jonas So there you have it. We're clearly light on for support, with only one emergency player, and an OOP mid in our forwardline. None of this is an excuse, because we still have a team strong enough to take on anyone anywhere - and that's exactly what we'll be doing this weekend against the Monarchs. Car'n The Prospectors!
Pakenham's team lineup for the first final against Ararat is as follows B: Simpson, Dempsey, L.Brown, Darley M: Beams. Barlow, BJ, Bum R: Pyke F: Roo, Bud, Higgins,D.Merrett I: Mackay, Viney A very injury depleted lineup, but found 15 players to take the field. With a little luck hopefully snare our first win in the clubs first ever final. The club and fans are super excited to get things underway. Good luck coach Insider
cheers DD. should be a walk in the park for you mate. ill update this post later on when ive got time with my squad. already locked into ts leagues though.
One bigchange to the Bulls from last weeks win over Goondiwindi,in a surprise selectionBuntine gets the nod. Out: Roughead (suspension) In: Buntine B: Mackie, Birchall, Dempster, Rampe (Grima) M: Rockliff, Boyd, Stanton, James Kelly (Josh Kelly) R: McEvoy F: Dahlhaus, Bird, Jetta, Lynch (Reid) I: Bastinac, Buntine (Cunningham) After accounting for Goondiwindi at home last week to secure a final, the Bulls hit the road hoping to repeat the same dose. In a huge sign of respect from the top3 teams sides all wanted to avoid the 8th placedBulls inthe first weekof the finals. Perhaps something to do with their potential scoring power being 4th overall for points scored.
Monarchs team Back; Houli, Rance, Broadbent, Schofield (Wright) Midfield; Priddis, Boak, Dal Santo, Macrae (Melksham) Ruck; Naitanui Forward; Pavlich, Kennedy, Walker, Betts (Rohan) I/C; Newnes, Zaharakis (Smedts)
DEF: Duffield, SD Thompson, R Thompson, Laird MID: Pendles, Prestia, Armitage, Pearce RUC: Big Tap FWD: Gray, Schulz, Mayne, Ballantyne INT: Giles, Bews 36(N Robertson) Blanchetown 1/36 ave 36 D: Johnson, Harbrow, Suckling, MacKenzie (Gilbert) M: Heppell, Judd 99, Hartlett, Tyson (Hoskins-Elliot) R: McIntosh 90 F: Martin, Wright, Tippett, Dixon (Dawes) I: Gaff, Horlin-Smith (Witts) 2/189 ave 94.5
My humblest apologies to any I have offended, or any who feel hard done by with the issues in the last week

Not much in it at King Island, with the whole of Coolgardie's forward line still to play tomorrow. Monarchs 12/1040/86.7 Prospectors 10/845/84.5
The Goondiwindi locals are playing funny buggers this week, no one is manning the scoreboard and the team sheet appears to have been lost. For the Bulls we sit at 829 / 9 / 92.1 For the team based on last weeks team minus Bartel, including O'Shea & Swan they sit at 538 / 7 / 76.8 That looks positive from a Bulls perspective but the reality is we have no idea!
It's a fairly close tussle at Pakenham in the first final, the Rat pack seem to be holding off all challenges to this stage and seem in a good spot to take out the win. Finals nerves (pathetic efforts) and an injury to Beams have hurt Pakenham. Some more luck is needed for the Parasites to pinch the win Ararat 802 for 9. Vince, Treloar, Cross, Minson, Jamar and McDonald to come Pakenham 871 for 11. Darley, Barlow, Viney and Higgins to come More twists and turns to follow. Hopefully Pakenham can keep it close and give the home fans something worth watching. Go late outs for the Rat pack!!
I don't think it would have mattered who I chose to play this week, the scores I'm dropping wouldn't challenge anyone. Without big buds bag of 9 I wouldn't even be close. My luck I've been having was always going to end at some stage. Shame it had to be now. Never mind all good fun

Macrae a late out for the Monarchs means Melksham comes in with his pathetic 12. The door to an upset is officially wide open. Hopefully captain Pav can steady the ship or do the team thing and sit out to let Rohan's 100 come in.
Some huge scores have been balanced by some donuts at Blanchetown, where the Smugglers lead 1083/12 (90) to 649/9 (72). Johnson, Suckling and Tyson to come for Xmas Island, Duffman, Thompson, Pearce, Mayne, Ballantyne and possibly Giles for the Bunyips.
It's basically all over out in Pakenham. The away team are into the cans midway through the last. The home team fans have all gone, leaving in disgust. No miracles no nothing just the 14th pick.
