Scorewise Eden didn't improve much from last week but that was due to players like Suban and Griffen returning and getting back into the play. Hopefully Grant will return or Boyd will play to cover the forward line so Aish won't have to play strange. Looking to improve next week as we are playing Goondiwindi but good effort and good win for the Whalers.

Thanks Holky. Much improvment from my team, 3 tons this week as opposed to 1 last week. Average of 89.6 from the playing players, and when I get some of my top picks back I reckon I can match it with some of the top teams. Boomer pulled one out of the bag for you - pity it wasn't in a match that mattered

Boomer was brilliant though :) Also, so lucky to play Gisborne before the MSD, that shall be their improvement point.

@ddsaints - sorry for the delayed response - you were talking to yourself there ;P I posted on the NBA GF thread at the start of our match up but it's tumbleweeds over there now with the main leagues finishing up before the keeper. It was a good GF match between us anyway. I was rapt to win the big double this year! Awesome NBA season - looking forward to the playoffs now! I wish I could say the same for our rd 1 ORFFU match! Big win for you. Imposing squad you have there. Ridiculously good midfield - Barlow's injury might drag your midfield scores out of the stratosphere for the next 3-6 weeks but you do have a handy replacement there in Polec. Cheers for the write up and good luck for the rest of the season.

tyze on 9/1/2014 'Some interesting picks going on big knockers at 40 wow someone must have some inside mail on him getting a game this yr!!' Kreuzer was always a 'big if' re: his injury and now it's come back to haunt him.....out for 12-14 weeks......... and that was the basis of Warnock being taken at 40. Looks like I might have got that one right, for a change. Big knockers is looking like he'll get plenty of game time now, if he can stay on the park......

Sorry guys, haven't gotten the Korumburra v Coolgardie match report up yet, and its nearly round 3! The Blowflys did a good job of hosting the match - they put on some great warm leftovers for the boys at half-time, although the dip looked a little dubious. Out on the field though, they seemed a little short-staffed, picking up a defensive donut and no emergency cover. The midfielders killed it, lead by Stevie J on 145 points and a walking frame, but then big Goldy came crashing back to earth in the rucks with a lowly 75. The forwards and the interchange were solid, with nothing spectacular. The Prospectors came with flyswats in hand, and a strategic donut down back to score Vlastuin's 91 off the bench (and Hooker actually named on field this week!). The midfielders got soundly beaten by the Blowflys, but big Mummy's 158 points sure made up for it! Up front the strategic donut was used again to get Vickery's 101 points, but there was another donut cleanly munched with Dickson not named in the final side. Interchange selections hurt, with more points on the pine and left back in WA than there were on the field. In the end it was one donut each, and 1319 for the Prospectors (at an average of 87.9 for 15 players) to the Blowflys 1161 (at an average of 77.4 for 15 players). Another solid win to my boys and we've got the start we wanted, even with all the rubbish hurled at our forward line in the preseason.

Well here's my round 3 team. Barring any late ins this is as good as it gets! My emergencies are actually listed as emergencies with their AFL clubs and I'm relying on Blease (part of the Dee's extended interchange) playing to give me a full team. I'm not even going to mention my champion back up ruck Jack Fitzpatrick......wait a minute I just did :p <table cellspacing='10] <td style='text-align: left;' rowspan='2]Def: ]Lachie Hansen ]0 ]Michael Johnson ]0 <td class='Emergency' style='text-align: left;] ]0

My much vaunted forward line is running a little thin this week. Coolgardie Prospectors for round 3: Defence: C Hooker, R Petterd, D Terlich, N Vlastuin - M Baguley Midfield: B Ebert, J Kennedy, O Wines, J O'Meara - M Jones Ruck: S Mumford Forwards: D Petrie, T Vickery, L Hunter, X Ellis (OOP) - D Jackson (OOP) Interchange: D Cox, D Wells - J Macmillan So one out of position forward, and one out of position forward emergency. Not quite what I wanted.

Damn Dixon. Spudding it up in my FU and SC teams and now injured. Terrible pick. Still no sign of Tippett, so the Fwd line which was supposed to be my strength is now even weaker.I can't see these boys singing the team song this weekend: D: Suckling, Harbrow, Gilbert, MacKenzie (Patfull) M: Gaff, Redden, Heppell, Hartlett R: McIntosh (Witts) F: Martin, Wright, White, Burbury (Stringer) I: Tyson, Horlin-Smith (Keeffe) In: Burbury, Keeffe Out: Dixon, Loophole Tippett

Basically the same team but with some slight changes, I didn't see the point in putting emergencies who themselves aren't selected so it's a straight 15 Def: Malceski, Smith, May, Reilly Mid: Griffen, Jones, Thompson, Curnow Ruck: Leuenberger Fwd: Hale (in his 200th), Boomer, Mitchell, Aish (OOP) IC: Suban, Stanley I'm wondering when GWS will use their much-hyped #1 draft pick, I'll have to wait and see...
