Great score FSB! despite starting with same team, we have a lot of PODs now. After a bad week, I've almost given up on oa, but I'm gonna wait till after the multibyes before completely pulling the pin.
I made a couple of blu's this week - buddy as cap was not a good choice...
And I didn't make any trades - was extremely close to doing a Joey to Mitchell trade, but didn't. Would have gained me an extra 150 points or so as Sammy was gonna be my cap too... but who knows how it will play out in the end. The extra trade may come in real handy!

@sainter. That Krak to GAJ trade is bound to be a great one! Don't worry about how good Krak has been for you. If you can do a straight swap to GAJ, no problems with that trade.

Very interesting looking at the trades made.
I feel I will have a few less ticks as I've seriously dropped down out of it as the season has gone on. curretly 1700 points off the top of our league ladder. Missing lockout for the second multibye was killer too!
    Trades so far:
    Round 3 - OUT Prestia ($148,600) IN Tapscott ($110,200)
OUT Hibberd ($103,600) IN Liberatore ($103,600) both fix up trades - tick
    Round 4 - OUT Bewick ($133,300) IN Curnow ($206,800)
OUT Otten ($185,100) IN Smith ($123,600)(b.smith, adel) week late on curnow, but I still a good one. don't think otten to smith was great! he is still in my team at $210,600
    ROUND 7
OUT Rioli ($459,800) IN Chapman ($541,400)
OUT Liberatore ($268,800) IN Iles ($121,700)
chapman is down to $403 and not the best trade as chapman has missed a lot too but not the worst as he's still averaging ok.
    ROUND 8
OUT Curnow ($319,000) IN Mundy ($533,000)
OUT Duigan ($271,800) IN Jacobs ($113,600)
could have kept both duigan and curnow but someone had to be slaughtered for the one up/one down. happy with jacobs so far and was happy with mundy till the leg :(
    ROUND 9
OUT Swallow ($332,700) IN Selwood ($526,800)
OUT Grimes ($382,700) IN Puopolo ($103,600)
grimes LTI had to happen and again v happy with selwood until the suspension!
    ROUND 10
OUT Toy ($206,800) IN Adcock ($457,600)
OUT Tapscott ($264,300) IN Lynch ($138,600)
adcock big mistake. he was on fire and is now sitting on my bench injured at $370 :(
    ROUND 11
OUT Krakouer ($328,800) IN Pavlich ($499,400)
OUT Conca ($299,000) IN Mzungu ($110,200)
happy with these two so far
    ROUND 12
OUT Iles ($244,000) IN Priddis ($503,700)
OUT Sandilands ($554,000) IN Vardy ($154,800)
Got rid of sandi a little late and now have my fingers crossed he doesn't come back till after the bye.
    ROUND 13
OUT Selwood ($517,600) IN Boyd ($513,200)
OUT Mundy ($435,300) IN Ablett ($568,000)
most annoying so far. bringing in ablett is great, but not when it's forced from at LTI and boyd's performance on the weekend was disappointing to say the least!
only have 6 trades left which I'm quite worried about. Been a bit more aggressive with my trades in this team than my normal team and not sure it's payed off!

Your trades have been alright julz. The timing not so great on a few of them, but no massive stuffups. I reckon not setting your team up on a multibye week must have been the biggest blow! Must've hurt!

I can't remember right now if I'm right, but I'm pretty sure I jumped back up into the lead again.

I've still be wondering if it's worth going for overall or trying to win this comp. I'm currently ranked 201st which is about 850 points of the lead. Too close to give up I reckon.

So this week, I've bought in two PODs in gram and neon Davis. Could have went safe option of fisher down back and someone like JB in fwd, but decided to throw caution to the wind. We'll see how it goes...

    Wow Unbelievable Round of Scoring

    Trading Games team – 2677
(with Pav Capt instead of G Jnr – OUCH!!)
I hope that doesn't cost me the weekly best score!!

    16 Players over 100
Failures (if I can call them that!!)
    Sylvia 65, Franklin 66, JRiewoldt 72, Scotland 85, Harvey 92, and NRiewoldt 90

    6 Players went over 138 – Goldstein 138, Griffin 166, Ablett 185, Judd 180, Goddard 161 and Hodge 142

Remarkably there was a higher score in the Trading Games league with Buzz II going to 2692. (Congrats)

@Anthak - Yes you had the lead back (by 127 points), but it will swing again this week. This week my 2677 against your 2442 will see Casey Crushers back in front by 108. It's unbelievable how much difference there is in our teams week to week. Couple of hundreds point each time. Maybe will swing back to you next week. LOL this is actually turning out to be a very interesting exercise!!!

Congrats to Bird is the word too..cracking out 2608 also. And NT Thunda with a nice 2528

@ Julz - I agree with Anthak. Seems you have been a little unlucky with some of your timing but mostly I think youve made decent trades.

Missing Lockout R2...must have been a massive bummer!!

And I wish I still had 6 trades.. I'm down to 2..but I have pretty solid squad now
(and a lot of MPP..by design)

    This weeks lineup

DEF Scotland, Deledio, Fisher, Gibbs, Goddard, Shaw, Enright Puopolo, Otten, Toy

MID Pendlebury, Thompson, Judd, Ablett, Hodge, Higgins Hibberd, Jacobs, Callinan

    RUC Goldstein, Griffin, Cox, Keefe

FWD Pavlich, Harvey, Sylvia, Franklin, JRiewoldt, NRiewoldt, Mzungu Rioli, Prestia, Howe

Wow! That's an awesome score! Especially without GAJ or Judd as cap!

It has been really interesting how we've been playing tag with the lead. Been about 200-300 points diff each week for the last month, and swapped spots each week! Lol
Hopefully I can keep the trend going this week again.

I had swan as cap this week which hurt. Plus my trade of gram didn't get off to a good start with him scoring just 55.

I've also got just 2 trades left, but pretty happy with my squad as well. Will only use my 2 trades for LTIs now - I think. I was meant to just be using my last 4 trades for LTIs . 1 got used on rioli which was fair enough, but heppell to gram was not a smart or good decision really...

Well done to everyone who scored big this week. Will be interesting to see the leader board when lockout finishes.

I don't think the last two teams are still playing. So I didnt look at how far behind they are because its huge.

But overall 2600 points between first and fourteenth.

    Very Interesting Stuff!!

Thanks Anthak. Really happy with my score. Easily my best ever. And by the way easily ahead of my actual FSB team.

I'm in 132 overall now. (804 points off the leader Impromptu) But that's chopping and changing a fair bit each week. Was 390 last week.

I think whats interesting is that there is a slight lack of consistency in both our teams.

I think you and I and Saints Boys are the only ones now who can take this out. Its been really interesting and enjoyable this comp , esp over the last few weeks.

My trades now are for LTI. I still have Rioli on the bench too.

I had to bring in a Ruckman or I would have munched a donut this week. Brought in Goldstein who has been in smashing form for Sandi. I had brought in Griffin thinking that if Sandi were out then he would play (in which my thinking was correct) but I forgot about Cox having the bye!!

Anyway I'm stuck with 3 good ruckman, in any case until Sandi is back, but I suspect he will be out for a while. They wouldn't want to rush him back to quick again.

I still feel a little vulnerable with Higgins and JRoo. Ideally I wanted them as first emergencies. But my sideways trade around byes have left me little short. Still I feel I have a good team and I have made sure there is a lot of MPP so I can manipulate around byes and injuries. I would have preferred to be holding 4-5 trades but with the extras on the bench and my MPP I feel that I'm not too bad with two trades left.

My def bench seem to be solid apart from Toy not playing.

Mid bench is OK with Callinan the worry (injured this week but I used him for cash and MPP knowing he wouldn't be upgraded anyway)

Ruc bench is good till Sandi cames back and Griffin drops out. Then I am exposed and cant see Keefe getting a game.

Fwd bench. So So. Rioli is out for a bit and Prestia no certainty. Howe seems ok.

I would like to get Swan in though as per my original plan. It all worked out so well but I have run short of trades and cash to make it happen.

BTW I have 58.5 K left. So I can only really straight swap my last two trades.

Sorry for heaps of posts but I am right into this ATM..

Interesting also that we only have 1 Geelong player each in Enright.

I will try to do a bit more analysis this week and comparison of the teams we have built and look at the POD's and the bye scenarios And also see how we are placed for the finals.

Cool, that would be fantastic if you do that! And don't worry about doing so many posts - it was good reading.

Hmm..this week will be interesting I have some serious decisions to make. A donut will be on the cards unless I use at least one of my remaining trades.

Plus no bench cover MID with Thompson, Pavlich and Mzungu having the BYE

No FWD bench cover with Rioli, Sylvia and Howe on the pine. And with Callinan now injured apparently. That will bring about the iced confection.

It's probably worth adding some information about TRADES remaining for the top half dozen teams(per the TS league tracking function so hopefully is accurate).

    1. Casey Crushers 33,562 - 3 trades remaining

    2. anthak II 33,454 (-108) - 2 trades

    3. SaintsBoys 33,180 (-382) - 8 trades

    4. Bird is the Word 32,939 (-623) - 8 trades

    5. NTthunda 32,867 (-695) - 5 trades

    6. Buzz II 32,794 (-768) - 7 trades

Our lead up top isn't that big considering how many trades everyone else still has.

Yep.. I think we have gone out too hard...LOL

But as I said quite a while ago the whole idea of this was too see the differences in methods so a couple of us have to "take one for the team".. So to speak..

You are in front of me by one point. Off the top of my head, You are 108 overall and I am 109, i think

FSB, are you still trying to win overall, or are you focusing on this comp?

and most importantly 459 and 460 points ahead of SaintsBoys in 3rd place - who prior to naming of teams looks to be the most depleted of the top 3 so may have to consider pulling the lever this week !

Since I now have no trades left I guess I'm still going for overall..!!!!!

Even tho that is so far from the realms of possibility that it defies logic.

I'm just gonna see what happens. I'm at the mercy of the SC Gods now. Please be gentle......

I'm not far off. 2 left, but will use one this week I think.
