    Yep I'm with you anthak, I'm a sucker for punishment. Got missy up forward and Drummond sitting in my backline too! Swore to myself I'd only get durable players this year... And here we are...

    With a back injury lingering over Montagna, Callinan out, Krakour looking the goods and some cash needed to be freed up, I have now got Higgins in my squad and $30K in the bank. The MPP and fitness reports were just too tempting.

    I know he got rested against Freo on the weekend (along with half the team). Anyone got any training updates on him?

    At the moment I'm looking at F5 being Higgins Vs O'Keefe vs M. Morton</blockquote>

    Watched Mortn in horror at Shep !. kicking to teamates less the 30m away and missing most by 10m his best was a teamate 30m away and he missed him by 25m. I was at the 50m line at one end of ground so didn't see all and there ws wind factor but 1/2 the time the wind was kind to him. Clanger city there.....If a bloke can miss by that much that often it shows to me a lack of natural talent imo. Dont know if SC scores went up but he might of ended in the red.

    I have Missy Higgins. His price and positives in the preseason so far has been a shining beacon of light in what is otherwise a desert of forward premium options. If others were fit or had no questions marks over their heads he might be squeezed out, but under current circumstances, he's in.

    Going with J Roo at F5 and A Krak F6. Higgins burnt me way too badly last year, right to the GF duck egg. Prepared to spend more on my forward line this year as last year my forwards were a disgrace from Round 3 when NRoo went down. Think I started with Dangerfield, Tippett, NRoo and Higgins last year...what a season. More than half my trades were forward of the border!

    It would be an otherwise boring old season without him, so he's in. Go Missy!

    Keeping an eye on where the Dogs are going to play Gia this year - that might determine Higgins role.

    This feels like when I lend &#36;50 to my brother - no return forthcoming. Ok, Higgins in. Get ready for the round 4 announcement that he has OP or gout or a conjoined twin growing on his kicking foot.

    Sadly, Missy didn't survive today's round of trades in my team. I could have had Higgins, Krak and Liba Jnr on the Mid Bench or Pendlebury, Darling and Irons on the Mid Bench. With the news on Darling's prospects having lifted (he got dropped for being tardy, not on-field performance) I think I will go with the Keeper and the Cows rather than two Could Be players and a potential Cow.

    Darling is a forward, not a mid. Or am I missing something?

    pretty sure he meant irons on the mid bench - not darling and irons...

    Burnt last year, going for J Grant instead. Though it's not necessarily bad for SC, Higgin's is a total receiver, can score well if Dogs playing well, go missing if not. Think Grant has more of an upside with avg 70+ last year in Hall focused game plan.

    @anthak,

    Thank you for the clarification darling.
    Get your buns in the oven and your irons on the mid bench........

    I'm sure there's a good country song in there somewhere.
