Might have a few quid on him whips, but he does owe me alot more than that - here's hoping he starts to repay me today Just organised my fiancee to set up a stable and join so we have at least 6 in the league.
Guys, the new stable entrant named ChiliRed is a mate of mine helping to make up numbers. Hope you don't mind.
Hey hey, I'm 3rd. Gosh, didn't expect that, well you know what they say, the high you are... So I take it Helmet the Dud is traded out this week for Lucas Cranach, what would be the next trade?
Definitely Helmet out for Lucas Port - although I already have Lucus, so it's Helmet out for ??? for me. Just waiting to di-sect some fields & form before I hit the trade page - could be another after footy discussion on chat Friday night
Well done guys. Top 4% of leagues is a good start. I agree Helmet out but you may have another option, port. Your Aust Cup coverage is reasonable with Sth'n Speed and Illo. Going against Lucas is risky but Hay List in the Newmarket would provide coverage in both $1M races. Then again, I did spruik Dao Dao last week!!!
@whips Will Hay List start though? I know the trainer & owners were very disenchanted with his weight for the Newmarket & actually threatened to bypass the race & go straight to Sydney!!! Will be closely scrutinizing the fields & form Friday to see if I can find an edge. I see Lucas is now favourite for the Aus Cup on Saturday following the barrier draw - tough task for Americain draw the outside gate - I know it's only a 9 horse field, but there isn't any real standout natural early speed. Could he use up some energy early to cross the field in front??? Interesting article I found on punters paradise http://www.puntersparadise.com.au/news/Scientists-say-secret-is-biding-your-time_39487/
FWIW, I think Hay List will start given it's a $1M race with no Caviar. But I agree, check Saturday's fields first. I also think Americain's hcp rating of 5 greater than Lucas Cranach is significant given they'll carry level weights. Glass Harmonium should provide the speed and the 2000m start at Flem affords all runners time to get in down the back straight. As you say, only 9 runners. Should be fairly run. One thing I don't like is seeing Americain first up at 2000m. That's just not how we do it here!!!! Anyway, that's an opinion and as I said up there, going against Lucas is a risk but it may pay off. Good article, too!
fwiw my predictions are in the newmarket hay list you would think will win for value keep an eye on woorim and albert the fat they like to fly down the outside from way back. in the aus cup i will go cranach followed by southern speed then americain. happy punting
Deciding between Hay's List and Glass Harmonium atm. Will any of these horses be raced again this Autumn?
I agree with weazel as a guess. Hay List might go to the Galaxy while Glass Harmonium might do the Ranvet and the BMW. Tough choice between the two - good luck.
I reckon Glass Harmonium will also go on to the Sydney Cup after those 2 races whips. Am really pouring through the form just now - with a dead/slow track in Melbourne & a heavy track in Sydney, I am starting to think twice about using one of my trades to bring in anything running in Sydney tomorrow - although Pinker Pinker is tempting and has wet track form..........decisions, decisions!!!!
Has anyone else found it hard to make trades this morning? The site seems to be playing some strange games for me!!!
Well done guys. Our TS league is now ranked 53rd out of 4913 leagues. I will be putting in a formal protest as chels and I weren't credited for having J Cassidy as our jockey. It may take us into the top 1%. Congrats to ChilliRed who moved from last to 2nd after trifecta'ing the Aust Cup and won with Hay List also. I reckon it might get a bit harder as the competition now moves to Sydney exclusively and I think we're mostly Melbourne biased. But I also think our stables are well balanced.
have also "whipped" in a protest on the Cassidy error and no points from Trusting. As this is probably a universal error we may not move that much. However, a big well done to the TS racing crew
Interesting to note that my trade to Manighar was not registered - instead I was given Beaded!!!! Confusing and pissed off big time!!!
Also, Celts & Pinker Pinker have not been credited with prizemoney even though by their own prize-money schedule Celts (4th) should have been awarded $3,200 & Pinker Pinker (6th) $3,500. Many flaws it seems for the Autumn Carnival comp
the reply from the admins explained Melbourne was Meeting 3, Sydney was Meeting 2. Hence. the Sydney points did not appear on the Melbourne meeting. Made sense and was correct. Bigger problem for Bear not being able to trade correctly. Mosheen and Manawanui in for this week - if you have these already perhaps Lazer Hawk? What's the drum from those doing better than me? regards chels
