I gambled against 5 1/2 Star today and it didn't pay off. Teriffic ride by Bowman, but a huge run Silent Achiever in 2nd. Had Nash as my jockey, the changed to Bowman and then, sadly, went back to Nash. Ah well, sh#t happens sometimes!

 

Bear, I reckon Maluckyday has forgotten how to win. It won 5 of its first 8, but it hasn't won since the Lexus on Derby Day in 2010. That's 2 1/2 years now and it's had 14 starts since then.

My quick analysis of the jockeys tomorrow suggests Luke Nolen is your man. In my system BC, Il Cavallo and Phillipi suggests a 8 rating.
Next a bit behind I have Nash (6.5 rating) followed by Kerryn McEvoy and Craig Williams both rated at 5.5.
Have brought BC into the stable as I want to be able to say she was 'mine' for a race!

Two weeks to go folks and I suspect the 'nagging' in Port Lincoln is not abating.
We were blessed to see a fantastic performance from BC yesterday - wow. The possibility that she may still be racing next year is something to revel in. A certain NZ three year old was not all bad either as he did exactly what he was bred to do. Hope neither of the jockies is suffering too badly from wind burn!
