Well the shit has hit the proverbial fan. Essendon been fully Danked and if your name is Hird or Dank you are probably not most football fans favourite people and leaving the country not the worst idea. Still processing the ramifications. Feel sorry for Timmy Watson for some reason as it effects both his family and club he was involved with for much of his life.
I'm not sure how I feel about Brownlow Medal. If it is taken off Watson that will really hurt the family. I certainly not want it given to someone else. If the league feel they have to take it off him on record I would rather it simply be a year Brownlow Medal is removed from record books for these circumstances. I doubt that will happen. They probably give it to those that came second.

I have mixed feelings as a football person. On the one hand I feel sorry for players as I do not believe in their hearts they were trying to cheat or anything sinister. On the other hand still think they also to blame for being so stupid to allow something to be injected and trust fully other people when it is injected in your own body. Cannot imagine not asking many questions myself. Kudos to those players that did and had no injections for their own reasons.

As a Carlton fan a bit miffed if in a time we need to seriously build up a list with many early draft picks I would have expected us to probably finish last again and get 1st pick that we need so desperately. Now Essendon will probably get due to team they put on field probably even less competent than our own in 2016.

Anyway, they some early reactions. Mostly though I just feel sorry for Timmy Watson and his family. I hope if Brownlow taken off his son Jobe that he at least does not retire on that note. Hope he at least plays on one more season in 2017 to not end career on such a horrible note. The other players are younger and can get over but the toil on Jobe hard to imagine.90% feel sorry for him and 10% says, you idiot, you should have asked questions of Dank at the time rather than trust blindly.

      EXPERT ANALYSIS

As 2015 came to an end, we looked at some of the burning questions ahead of SuperCoach 2016.

Below you’ll find in-depth analysis of the AFL Trade period, AFL Draft, fallen premiums and last season’s rising stars.

      THE 2016 BREAKOUT CONTENDERS

Bontempelli, Cripps, Gray ... they were the must-have players of 2015. Which players will follow in their footsteps and become stars of the season.

THE YOUNG GUNS YOU NEED TO KNOW

The AFL Draft is always an exciting time as the game’s hottest young property finds new clubs. It’s also an important time in SuperCoach as we try to find the next “Cash Cow” that can help us claim bragging rights.

      THE BEST FALLEN PREMIUM PICKS

Finding the right fallen premiums can be the difference between SuperCoach glory and shame. Tom Liberatore is the player on every one’s lips at this stage but there’s plenty more on this list.

NEW COLOURS CAN MEAN SUPERCOACH SUCCESS

Patrick Dangerfield was the big news during the AFL Trade period but which other players can make a SuperCoach impact at new clubs in 2016? The likes of Craig Bird and Sam Kerridge are expected to be popular. Find out who else is on the watch list.

      TOP DUAL POSITION GEMS

Flexibility can be crucial, especially late in the SuperCoach season. The forward line is full of dual position players but are you brave enough to pick one in the midfield?

We’ve picked out the the dual position players that could come in handy during the season ahead.

      ESSENDON TOP-UPS REVEALED

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know 12 current Essendon players have been banned as a result of the club’s long-running supplements saga.

The Bombers have now named the first of their top-up players and we’ve got their price and positions right here.

      TEAM PROFILES

We’ve nominated the best cash cows, point of difference, premium pick and more from every club.

      ADELAIDE CROWS

In contrast to Geelong, how has Patrick Dangerfield’s departure impacted the Crows. All eyes will be on injury-prone young gun Brad Crouch this season.

      BRISBANE LIONS

Tom Rockliff’s back and he’s got plenty of SuperCoach-friendly teammates at Brisbane. How many will you be watching during the NAB Challenge.

      CARLTON

Will you take advantage of the cash cow bonanza at Carlton or look to the fallen premiums such as Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs?

      COLLINGWOOD

We all love Scott “DePendlebury” Pendlebury but who else should we be watching at Collingwood? Check out our top picks.

      ESSENDON

The Bombers might be missing 12 of their stars this year but that doesn’t make them a SuperCoach wasteland. In fact, there’s plenty of names you should be watching.

      FREMANTLE

The Dockers present some big decisions. Nat Fyfe is the second most expensive player, Harley Bennell is settling into a new club and can Michael Barlow return to a 100-point average?

      GEELONG

What impact will Patrick Dangerfield have at Geelong? More importantly can he keep up his elite SuperCoach scoring? The Cats have plenty of high-scoring firepower.

      GOLD COAST

Gary Ablett leads a host of Suns stars returning from injury; Swallow, Prestia, O’Meara and Malceski. There’s plenty of value to be had here.

      GWS GIANTS

SuperCoach potential, the Giants have it from the top down. Heath Shaw and Callan Ward are premium picks, Dylan Shiel is a rising star and Jacob Hopper can make an immediate impact.

      HAWTHORN

      Coming at 12pm, Thursday

      MELBOURNE

Everyone will be eyeing off Christian Petracca this pre-season but what other Demons should you consider? Jesse Hogan, Jack Viney and Ben Kennedy might interest you.

      NORTH MELBOURNE

It’s not all about Todd Goldstein at North Melbourne ... OK, it is. But the likes of Jed Anderson, Daniel Wells, Nick Dal Santo and Brent Harvey are all names you should know.

      PORT ADELAIDE

Robbie Gray is no longer a forward so will you pick him as a midfielder? Jared Polec is cheap after returning from injury and will you take the plunge on Matthew Lobbe.

      RICHMOND

There’s plenty to like about Richmond. Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin and Alex Rance specifically. Can Trent Cotchin regain his form of old?

      ST KILDA

The Saints are building and its time to sit up and take notice. There’s plenty to like about the SuperCoach Saints in 2016.

      SYDNEY SWANS

Look who’s back in defence. Jarrad McVeigh is expected to be very popular in 2016. What about Buddy? He’s certainly been impressive this pre-season.

      WEST COAST EAGLES

Is it a pun to say the Eagles are flying under the SuperCoach radar? If you like safe point of difference picks then look no further.

      WESTERN BULLDOGS

SuperCoaches rejoice Tom Liberatore is back from a knee reconstruction but have Marcus Bontempelli, Luke Dahlhaus and Bob Murphy stolen his SuperCoach thunder.
