There is hidden currency in everything. It is expected that Chris will on-sell the fruit tingles to Jimbo. Jim being a Crow's fan. /Portals/0/User%20Images/fruit-tingles-34g-1.10-189-p.jpg /Portals/0/User%20Images/Crows.jpg
While all this trade controversy has been going on, the Wombats and Powlett Plains have been quietly negotiating, and we have struck a deal which sees: Wagga Wagga receive: Rob Murphy, Vardy, Franklin & #63 (4th round) Powlett Plains receive: Marley Williams, T.Hunt, Goddard & #29 (2nd round)
Ignoring all angst, it's exciting to see so many marquee players changing hands in what is effectively the off season trade period...... Encouraging signs for a real freshness next year...

Encouraging signs for a real freshness next year... Also Jobe Watson is up for trade, for the right price, looking for a young gun. If I don't get a right offer I am happy enough to hold him anyway, just letting you all know
I'm feeling everyone's love and concern which is nice. Personally I have thought that I have offered people deals that are even better than this one, so it just goes to show how everyone values players differently (including myself). Not that I feel that I have to justify the trade, but since people are interested here it goes... In a nutshell I have acquired a player that will improve my best 15 by what I hope will be 15-20 points per game without losing anyone that will be in my best 15. That is a trade that benefits me.I am making the assumption that Danyle Pearce and Chris Yarran will both not be defenders next year and given that they were two of the only three defenders I had playing on grand final day, I have a problem. On the other hand I have a list of Josh Thomas, Jack Trengove, Danyle Pearce and Bernie Vince who are all 75 - 85 players that will essentially not get a lot of playing time next year as there are 6 mids in my side ahead of them from a points scoring perspective. Why would some of them not be expendable. My dealings with the ORFFA community had proven to be unfruitful so far even in the instances where in terms of averages I was clearly paying overs. That's cool, in fact I expect there to be some sort of 'premiership tax' if you will. Knowing this, I have tried to give clubs 'overs' while at the same time trying to improve my best 15. Was happy to give Bandit what he got and he was fantastic and very reasonable to deal with. In fact, we could have almost agreed on a different deal but didn't at my insistence as I didn't think he was getting enough. That probably doesn't sound great, but I am keen to have positive trade relations with everyone as I won't be on top forever. And again, I don't think I lost out because I improved my best 15 (unless Heater gets sacked and hops into a car driven by Dids with a whole bunch of TAB stubs from a Collingwood game in his pocket). Oh, and Vince, Trengove and said 3rd round pick are on the table for anyone who thinks they can use them while further improving my best 15. Players averaging less than 85 need not apply.
With that trade, pending health, CR will be even more difficult to defeat. However in my opinion it's a calculated risk as his depth has lessened. On a lesser note, I like the trade for Dywer.
Boy......when you don't log on for a few days, then try to read this whole thread & make sense of it all........I mean hell, I am a Collingwood supporter, who could possibly keep it all straight ??? No veto from me on any of the trades. Unless its over the top, its an owner's right to assess a players value & the teams value & trade accordingly. I may have laughed at two of them, but what do I know, I came last. Careful gang with these veto's, they are not Twistie's that we are throwing away. If two teams like a deal, remember we don't have to ~ only they do. They aren't doing it to manipulate anything, that's just what they think they need to do. God bless 'em I say.
Fair to say the level of commitment to the league and involvement in the process by the participants is beyond question... At least in as much as no-one can say we don't take it seriously enough, tooserious though, is an ORFFA speciality

A deal has been struck which sees Charlies Opening receive Shaun Atley and my round 2 pick of the 2014 Pre Season draft, while in return Wagga Wagga receive Josh Jenkins. <div> The second round pick that Wagga has to trade is actually pick 32 which they traded in from Birdsville..
