I believe it was just a clerical error, as pick 45 was the one offered by me and part of the appeal for that pick for Bama was to get 2 picks in a row.

No worries, 45 is definitely yours to give away

While all this trade controversy has been going on, the Wombats and Powlett Plains have been quietly negotiating, and we have struck a deal which sees: Wagga Wagga receive: Rob Murphy, Vardy, Franklin & #63 (4th round) Powlett Plains receive: Marley Williams, T.Hunt, Goddard & #29 (2nd round) Guys just going through updating my lists, this trade has a problem, Pick 29 belongs to Charlies Opening, it was part of the deal involving Atley & Jenkins... A deal has been struck which sees Charlies Opening receive Shaun Atley and my round 2 pick of the 2014 Pre Season draft, while in return Wagga Wagga receive Josh Jenkins. <div>
The second round pick that Wagga has to trade is actually pick 32 which they traded in from Birdsville.. I'm cool.

A coach offers a player for trade; an initial open offer is made and enthusiastically accepted; time is sought to consider the possibilities and my reply 'Take your time bro, take your time.' Then an email to say sorry mate I forgot about your offer, the deal has already been posted.
Yes, I am annoyed - at the lack of empathy, honesty and respect. 'Lover's remorse' perhaps? I do not think so, I am not sure where the embryonic deal might have lead and neither is the other coach.

I have been 100% honest, I made the offer last night to Lenny, while I was out he accepted and posted it. I don't know how I could of let you know, I wish I did though. And there is another coach or two that I was supposed to let know earlier as well, I feel bad and lack of respect might be fair enough, more forgetfullness though.
I have lost a fair bit of popularity in this league the last week or so ... :/
Sorry to all affected by my brainfade :/

At our age we should be impervious to being jilted. 'Sorry mate, I completely forgot about letting you know about trading Jobe before the trade was posted. Lenny has already posted it now, tbh I think I like his offer better then yours anyway.'

Beams is 23 and Watson is 28. I am going for short term success, Fitzy is going for long term success. I am happy with the trade, Fitzy is happy with the trade. Yet there are still people wanting it vetoed. Makes no sense to me.

How the f*** is this trade unbalanced????!?!?! Beams is 5 years younger!!!!! Beams for Watson straight would be something deserving of a veto. Lenny said it, he is going for success in the near future, my team is rebuilding, the reason I targeted #3 and #13... my team is young as, have a look. I can't believe this trade is getting vetoed. Seriously unless you all have something against me personally I can't see how this trade deserves a veto. Do you all have something against me? Bama, Bandit? I can tell Chels and TiB do at the moment as well. Seems like I am the new Collingwood of ORFFA

So 5 years means you cough up a first and second round draft pick for a 3rd? I would have thought if you were looking for long term success then you would have kept a first and second round Fitzy?

i won't go as far as to say collusion... But..... This I agree with. Fitzy you and Lenny, as well as Chris and Jen are in a position (through no fault of your own, but just life) where your trades between each other are going to come under more scrutiny than most, and are vastly more likely to make other coaches think, if not state collusion. To me this is lopsided enough that people will smell a rat even if none exists. Having astonished most of us with your ability to steal advantage in every trade you then put something like this up and expect what exactly?
I'm not vetoing it, I don't think either of these guys are cheats, but I am sure as hell astonished. And Bama, mate as far as I understand things, you have the power to ask people to revisit the balance of a trade, or kill it, you are the trade commissioner...

I can't believe the hoo ha this trade has caused. I can understand Chels' feelings; but the trade itself is totally fine in my opinion.
I can't see that it's unbalanced and can imagine that I would feel comfortable with the trade if I were in either party's shoes.

    Your kidding right?
    Jobe Watson 2013, 19 games avg 111.5 Dayne Beams 2013. 7 games avg 102 Watson 2012 22 games, 122 avg Beams 2012 21 games 121 avg
Both have at least 3 years at the level before any youth payout materialises for master Beams. They are 50/50 at best, and the picks create an inbalance.
all I want to know is where are you guys' minds when I propose deals like this... :)

Beams is a fair bit younger; still has improvement in him. Not to mention the current investigation happening in relation to Jobe.
Main thing is, in 4 years time Watson will be on the way out, whereas Beams will still have a few good years in him.
