Len, can you please walk us through some example scenarios about how the waiver business might work after the draft is closed?

Preface the example by stating I am not 100% sure the waiver system will kick immediately the draft continues, but I suspect it will.

Assuming it does all available players will initially be listed in the waiver pool. Up until the conclusion of round 1 the waiver order is reverse draft. Following the conclusion of round 1 and each subsequent round the order will be reset with the team ranked last having position 1, 2nd last position 2 etc.

The waiver period lasts for two days, after that all players already in the pool become free agents and can be swapped in immediately. Any player released from a squad goes to the waiver list and stays there for two days, if not claimed he also enters the FA pool.

To claim a waiver player you select one of your players to drop and a player you would like to swap him in for. Then it's a matter of priority, if a coach ranked above you on the waiver list (below you on either the draft order or the ladder depending on timing) also trades to claim that player he has priority over your claim, the highest ranked waiver is awarded the player at the end of the waiver period when 2 or more coaches want a single player.

In UF the players all go back under waiver at the end of each round, unsure if this happens in SC but it's certainly not mentioned in their rundown. If not then after the initial two days from the draft most players will be free agents and freely available at all times.
Any player dropped to pickup a free agent will however go under a 2 day waiver before joining the FA lists.

Now that the draft phase is over, we don't seem to be able to easily review the other team's squads any longer. Boo.

Double Boo. In SC on the player list you get a green cross for available players and a red dash for those already taken. Instead of applying this proven system in SC Draft, players already taken just don't appear. With the 'able to review the other team's squads' gone, those players are now in a dark cave somewhere.

I seem to recall in previous incarnations you could not view other teams in regular leagues until R1 kicked off. Perhaps that will happen in Draft as well.

Just click on the team or coach name, the team appears, we can't thought review the draft at all so glad we recorded it

As above just click on the team or coach name and the team appears.
When I click T for trade I see a full player list with the team they belong to stated, by default you enter team trade mode.
To see the waiver pool click on the waiver claims button top dead centre, its in between Free Agents (we have none of them until tonight when all waiver listed players become free agents). This is also the view you use to trade Free agents obviously when they are there..
To view without trading just dont complete the trade, I have gold so have other ways of seeing the full list that I don't know if you do, but the above will work every time

Yeah, there's a whole lot more that you get to see once you 'attempt' to trade out a player it would appear.
