<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]<a name='_GoBack]Week 8 TooSerious Fantasy NFL[/url]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Jimbos Juggernaut (108) def Brady's Bunch (81)
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]The Juggernaut maintains the 1 seed in the AFC with a strong victory over the Bunch at home, which fall to the bottom of the NFC standings and perhaps start looking towards 2014….
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Jimbos Juggernaut - Ellington (21) having a day out against Atlanta and Romo (20) dynamic against Detroit were the standouts for the Juggernauts. Tannehill (10) put together a good first half before being overwhelmed by a banged up Patriots D, The Rams D/ST (11) were good in MNF, with Quinn particularly awesome racking up 3 sacks before half time, and not to be outdone, Long recorded 3 sacks also. Charles (11) had a quietish outing by his lofty standards but still contributed, whilst their other star RB, Shady McCoy (5), fell short of expectations. With a strong clutch of QB's (Luck out with a bye), an outstanding run game, and two of the better WR's in the game in Cruz (8) and the Steelers Brown (8), the Juggernaut are rolling purposively towards a very high season finish, if not the championship.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Brady's Bunch - Nelson (24) put up big numbers on the end of a dominant Rodgers performance, the Pats D/ST clicked into gear after half time, and some average performances by Big Ben (11), DeAngelo Williams (10) and MJD (11) put some respectability on the scoreboard in what was a well beaten team. Geno (2) got hammered by Geno Atkins and co in the Bengals D-line, and even got mercifully taken out of the game late, Boldin (5) continues to suffer from the 49ers insistence on a dominant run game, and Cumberland and Thompkins didn't trouble the scorers. The Bunch will be desperate to get Rivers back, and may look towards 2014 by trading for Rice and Jennings, both players having rather forgetful years but both would be somewhat valuable on the market at this stage of the year.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]The Jug-O-Naughts (83) lost to Kings of Karlos (130)
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]A new Championship favourite has emerged as the KoK continue to rack up big numbers with their rapidly developing squad, emerging unscathed and looking more daunting than ever after their trip to O-Naught central.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]The Jug-O-Naughts - Another inconsistent performance, and another week of soul searching for the O-Naughts. The good - Pryor (15 - though this is somewhat deceiving, he had a poor day in reality but was saved by his massive, game-opening run from scrimmage); Bush (a terrific 16); All Day returning to form (sort of, only 60 yards for the day, but a TD helped him to 14); Succop (12) benefitting from Smith and Co dominating the Browns; and the typically miserly Seahawks D/ST (10). The average - Matty Ice (9) throwing aplenty but finding little end zone action. The bad - Colston (1), Rice (0), Cook (3) and Moore (3), all on field WR's and a TE combining for 7 points - that is never going to win you a game of Fantasy Football. Benching Brady was a gutsy, but good move, but there was little else to get excited about from the bench offerings, except that Andre Johnson will be back next week. The scorecard reads too consistently for the O-Naughts, plenty up top, very little beneath it.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Kings of Karlos - Led by MVP contender Brees (33), KoK displayed their incredible depth will all bar 2 players (Gio [1] and Decker [4]) hitting double figures. Glennon (15) looked reasonable for Tampa back on TNF against a strong Carolina D, Lacy (16) continues his push for offensive rookie of the year with a dynamic game at Minnesota and Welker (14) worked some great routes for Denver and scored another TD. The momentum behind Vernon Davis (11) continues to build as he looks to be the No. 1 passing target for a run-happy 49ers offence, Bell (10), despite low rushing numbers, scored a TD, whilst the 49ers D/ST (11) remains one of the toughest teams to score against. To top it off, Crosby benefitted from Rodgers and the Pack scoring at will against the Vikings and added 15 to the KoK team total. Frighteningly enough, KoK had Gordon (19) and his big game against the No.1 ranked Chiefs D, and Steve J and his lone-hand performance for the Bills against a rampant Saints sitting on the bench.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Team Stowie (96) lost to Billy Bass (119)
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Billy Bass improve to 3-5 to move off the bottom of the NFC standings, whilst their cross-divisional rivals sink to their 3rd loss in a row in another erratic performance.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Team Stowie - Another loss, and no improvement in total score for Team Stowie as they continue to battle despite having two of the better fantasy QB's in the league right now. Smith (21) and Newton (27) were very good in their teams wins, but outside of them and a triple of 10's from Freddy Jackson (little yardage but a TD), Lamar Miller (good yardage but no TD) and the Panthers D/ST (very under-rated), there was little to be too buoyant about. Wallace (4) drops too many passes, even if they are not the most accurate of passes, The Gronk (2) continues to battle his way back to full fitness and form, Thomas (2) was unusually quiet matched against what is normally a weak Redskins D, and Hauschka (2) barely got a look in on MNF. On a brighter note, Rodgers seems to be trusting Boykin (8) more and more with each passing week, and Harvin must be getting closer right???
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Billy Bass - Rodgers (22) and Dalton (31) were the mainstays of a strong performance by Billy Bass, with Dalton (and his 5 TD passes) in particular looking like one of the most improved players in the game currently. Both beat up on weak teams admittedly, but they appear to be rocks the Bass can build their squad around for many years to come. AJ (11) was reasonably well held, but still topped 100 yards again, the keg on legs (Tolbert - 11) scored a TD against Tampa in TNF, the Saints D were miserly against the Bulls and Bailey slotted all of his opportunities in the cracking Dallas/Detroit game. Despite the win, closer inspection probably reveals the Bass needing upgrades in quite a few areas, and with a mediocre bench, it is hard to see how Billy Bass make the playoff's this year. Tolberts TD saved an otherwise ordinary game, Sproles (0) isn't getting anywhere near as many looks as he was last year, Witten (1) isn't getting any younger and the Cowboys are becoming heavily reliant on Bryant and Williams, Garcon (4) is suffering due to a poor Washington passing game, and Floyd (9), much like Fitz, struggles to post big numbers as his QB is ordinary at best. He had only 30 yards for the day, with a TD saving his bacon in fantasyland. A win is a win, but not all is rosy for Billy Bass.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Waito's Warriors (114) def Rigil Kentaurus (92)
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]In the battle of the previously top seeded teams, Waito and Rigil played out a terrific game that saw the Warriors return to the winners list and Kentaurus fall to a game behind Canton in the NFC.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Waito's Warriors - Welcome back Megatron, oh how the Warriors have missed you!! CJ81 posted video game numbers - 36 in total, 329 yards, only 1 TD, and a fumble - in a monumental performance against the Cowboys, and he single-handedly led the Warriors to a victory over Kentaurus. Other bright spots in the Warriors return to form were Freddy Morris (15) continuing his surge of form, Thomas of the Demaryius (13) variety hooking up with Peyton often in Denver's win over the redskins, Ponder (14) trying to win back his starting job for the Vikings, and Gostowski (10) was perfect for the Pats at Foxborough. Williams looked impressive, again, for Dallas, and is likely to earn a starting spot for the Warriors next week as he sat this one out. Hillis (8), Cameron (8) and Smith (4 - well held by Revis Island) made small contributions, and Waito finally got a D/ST (Browns, 6) to start!! The pressing issue of the QB situation, despite Ponders efforts, looks increasingly worrisome for Waito as Freeman is likely to take over the QB spot soon enough considering the Vikes paid decent money for him, Weeden, who started for Waito, didn't actually play and is no certainty to play next week either, whilst Schaub's physical health may be less of a concern compared to his confidence. The Warriors have an unbelievable run game and air attack, but their QB situation, as it has all year, appears more than troublesome and needs attention ASAP if the Warriors are to go back-to-back.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Rigil Kentaurus - Injuries and the bye round took its toll on Rigil this week, as the Bears D/ST, Torrey Smith and an injured Cutler all sat this one out. Murray and Randle both posting donuts didn't help much either! In the end, Rigil played LaFell (2), Olsen (8) and Shorts (7), and in all honesty, you can't win games with those three in your starting team - and so it proved to be, with too much left to too few. Stafford (26) was tremendous for Detroit in their pulsating come from behind victory, Palmer (12) repaid the faith with a good game at home against Atlanta, The Inconvenient Truth (17) posted strong numbers again in London, and the under-rated Raiders D/ST (11) stepped up to the plate in the absence of the Bears D/ST and held the Steelers in front of their home crowd. Helu sitting on the pine was a wise selection in the end, though his waiver wire pick-up seems a little odd in hindsight with him finding himself on the bench. Despite the loss, Rigil remain a contender, but they badly need their top players on the field to mix it with this year's top seeds.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Team Simonoz (102) def Canuck Warriors (74)
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Team Simonoz rise to 5-3 and equal top in the AFC, whilst things start to look a little desperate for Canuck as they move to two games behind 2nd in the NFC.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Team Simonoz - With Bradford out for the season, and new recruit Clemens going up against the might of the Seahawks, a lot was going to be asked of Kaepernick (27), and the big guy delivered to ensure a victory at home for Team Simonoz. Clemens struggled (3), Randle (3) found little running room against the Lions, Jackson (6) suffered at the hands of a 3rd string QB, Housler (1) hasn't come on as most thought he would, and the normally outstanding Chiefs D/ST (4), was exposed by the fighting Browns. However, along with Kap, Bryant (19) was enormous on-field (and a petulant child off it), D-Mac (19) remains uninjured and more than a solid starter, and Douglas (12) kept up his good form. Outside of Bell (11) on the bench, there is little to add to this squad, and as it was this week, so much is going to be asked of Kap, Dezzy, D-Jax and D-Mac over the rest of the season if Team Simonoz is to be there when the whips are cracking.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Canuck Warriors - When the top of your team sheet reads ‘Michael Vick - -1, Robert Griffin III - 3', you stand little chance of winning, and so it proved to be, with the loss of Vick early, and the loss of RGIII late (and his relatively poor form) the undoing of Canuck. The Cowboys D/ST, Tampa's own Mike James and 72 yr old Tony Gonzales barely contributing (1, 5 and 2 respectively) didn't help either. But, there were some brighter spots for Canuck, Ridley (13) looking very good for the Pats, Stacy (13) continuing to press his case as fantasy pick-up of the year, Fitz (10) scoring a TD (but little else), and Golden Tate (21) acting like a goose, but getting the job done in the face of Janoris Jenkins (seriously, does anyone like Janoris Jenkins??). On the bench, the Bronco's D/ST ramped it up after half time and scored a superb 21, though this was probably cold comfort to Canuck fans wanting results and their best players returning to the field. Foster would be close to return next week, and Gates and Allen would certainly come straight in, so the wins will come soon enough for a squad that desperately needs its QB's to stand up.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]So Long Mr Wallace (60) lost to Canton Bulldogs (102)
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Canton move a game clear in the NFC on the back of a 4 game winning streak, whilst So Long Mr Wallace remain anchored to the bottom of the AFC and are likely to continue to look to 2014.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]So Long Mr Wallace - A round-low score from SLMW and smashed in the process by an understrength Canton outfit, season 2014 planning meetings must be due to begin for the head honchos at SLMW. Wilson (14) threw 2 TD passes, but was otherwise hammered by Quinn and Long on MNF, Miami's Daniel Thomas (10) posted a score in an otherwise average performance, and the Packers D/ST (10) stood tall against the might…of AP I guess…. Lewis (7) and the Bills were obliterated by Brees and the Saints, The Law Firm (3) is behind Gio in the RB depth chart at Cincy (and in a team with outstanding WR's, that is not a good sign), Blackmon (3) couldn't get it going in Ye Olde London Town, and Cotchery, Hartline and Clay posted their usual (see: rubbish) numbers (3 each). Surprisingly, Jimmy Graham (15) didn't get a start, who whilst not fit, still would have been better than everyone on the SLMW team sheet, and Campbell was surprisingly good against the top ranked KC D/ST, so his 20 really hurts as he cuts up the oranges.
<p style='margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify;]Canton Bulldogs - This was not the Bulldogs greatest outing, but with Forte, Hilton, Flacco and Jeffery all resting their heels, a terrific win under the circumstances. The Bengals D/ST (25) and Peyton (22) got the job done for Canton, with valuable assistance from Moreno (18) and Folk (13) to ensure Canton's stay atop the NFC leader board continued. Beastmode (2) was subdued against the Rams, Vinny Jackson (7) and Jordan Reed (9) tried hard but couldn't find the end zone, whilst Nicks (5) and new recruit Quarless (1), did little. The fact that the weeks equal high scorer, Marvin Jones, totalled 36 points with 4 TD catches for the Bengals, whilst sitting on the bench for Canton, highlights the depth of the Canton squad at the moment as they continue their push to another play-off berth.
