Happy to agree with the majority, but mpp's are not high on my list of priority, but if we do put some in the team would prefer m/f players. Also like GnR approach.
<blockquote>Quote from FunkSoulBrother on February 10, 2012, 06:15 hi guys, my daughter ran second in the trading games last year. im sure she would like to go again in 2012. i havent been around much lately due to work commitments and i havent had a chance to help her compile a report on last season. but hopefully i can get to this soon. thanks for the reminder anthak! Also, a bit disappointing that you arent gonna be involved this year. it was great fun last year!!</blockquote> Hey mate, I am starting to think I should go in this again. And just to set the record straight - I think you(r daughter) ended up 3rd.
<blockquote>Quote from FunkSoulBrother on February 11, 2012, 08:18 Hmm.. seems like I misplaced my copy of all my data from last year. So a report from me prob unlikely but I will keep looking. Also, Casey Crushers ran third in the end.. apologies to Buzz who ran second !! Overtaking in the last round I believe</blockquote> I now see there was no need to set that record straight... Sorry
Keen to try something new Julz and will await advice on code. Maybe can see a way out of this. We ran a successful Expats League last year and due to demand are running two this season. The coaches from 2011 signed up for the original league - 2, so we gave the two spots to those who first registered interest. The second league is mostly newbies. Only a suggestion, but you could use warsaken's league as the second league and you could set up the first as outlined above. Hope you signed on for the TS-Ladies League.
cool thanks TiB. Im thinking I may give this a crack again. but still undecided. It doesnt matter who is in what league as long as everyone plays by the same rules. As mentioned before, it would be best if the admin, enters their team into both leagues to be able to easily track the progress of all involved
@anthak - or if julz and warsaken both enter all TG leagues whoever takes the reins has a backup if they get snowed under !! and also - do you have any suggestions on proposed team structure (other than loading up on hawks players!!) given your insights from last year?? cheers TTH
I'd like my TG team not to look anything like my normal team!! They will both probably be pretty similar by the end of it though!! Should we start looking at our Prems first and 'lock' them in?? Starting with the midfield ... BYES Round 11 ADEL/BRIS/GWS/NTH/WCE/WBD - Boyd/Rockliff/Priddis/Swallow/Thompson/Griffen Round 12 COLL/ESS/FREM/GEEL/MELB/SYD -Pendles/Swan/Pav(F)/Fyfe(F/Selwood/Thomas/Goodes(F)/Mundy/Watson Round 13 CARL/GCS/HAW/PORT/RICH/STK - Judd/Murphy/Ablett/Mitchell/Hodge/NDS/Goddard(D) Thats the top 20ish in price.
Also I was thinking of not worrying about the partial lockout, incase some people cant make it to change after the first lockout.
Sounds good warsaken. Although I reckon it's easier if a few people just suggest a whole side and then we vote on which one to use. That's how we did it last year and it was fine. I have decided I will definitely go in this again. Are there any league codes set?

BACKS 1. Goddard, B / 2. Deledio, B / 3. Shaw, H / 4. Broughton, G / 5. Conca, R / 6. Lake, B / 7. Smedts / B, 23. Bugg, T / 24. Wilkes, B MIDS 8. Pendlebury, S / 9. Ablett, G / 10. Selwood, J / 11. Still $145,300 in the bank for a bit of leeway to bring in the right rookies. I've just picked a few rooks that I like and some others that have been talked about, but obviously we'd want Round 1 players. I've got one league code set up ready to go.

I have a sugegstion that when entering their TG team everyone intially sets a deafult team as "autofill with Adelaide players" - as it only takes 5 seconds to do and that way in the unlikely event that we decide its to hard to get the team selected and for everyone to have it loaded before GWS vs Sydney starts there won't be anyone issues with some people having GWS/Sydney players in their team by mistake. Cheers TTH
OK, the two league codes that ive set up are: 609275 - [TS] TRADING GAMES 988628 - {TS} TRADING GAMES Please only register to one of the above.
Thanks Wars, I'm in. Not a bad first up team. Since B Ellis appears to be one of the few guaranteed rookies, maybe he should replace Conca. It will also free up $170k to possibly upgrade Krez to Cox.
Wars My recommendations would be Conca to Ellis Krez to Cox Fyfe/Pav to SJ, otherwise a great job Agree we need to review rookies

P.S My Dad Joe is playing Trading Games this year with his team Honour String. He's joined both leagues
<blockquote>Quote from TheTassieHawk on February 24, 2012, 20:57 There will definitely be able to be multiple leagues this year with 1 common coach starting all leagues and acting as league admin to keep things simple It may have been mentioned earlier but before the TRADING GAMES team is picked it might be worth getting some general agreement on timing of team selection etc to give everyone whoever enters plenty of time in the pre rd 1 lockout crush. If preseason GF is 17 March then it might be worth discussing the team on Monday 19th, as with last year there's not much benefit getting too hung up on it but maybe set lunchtime Wednesday 21st as the deadline to decide the starting squad of 30 so that there is a full 3 days for everyone to set up their teams and they can then concentrate on their main SC team. I Wouldn't be in favor of tinkering with the team again before the Carltob vs Richmond match or the other 7 matches as there is a pretty good chance that some of the coaches may not end up being able to get the changes in prior to lockout, but if others want to argue differently it would be good to hear a different point of view! Cheers TTH </blockquote> hey Julz/Wars - does the setting the team by lunchtime wednesday 21st sound OK or do you have other ideas ??

I have managed to figure out a way to squeeze in 14 but this only works if you cut the number of midfieled premiums to 3 which should allow you to UPGRADE conca and another def/fwd (as midfiled premiums cost more than def/fwd/premiums) as far as rookie go for now I would expect thses could change a bit (as you have indicated) but my queries would be on the FWDS ratehr than DEFS/MIDS/RUCKS
