Some bye cash generation has allowed my son to bring in Ibbo and another prem mid. Picked up some points on the leaders this week tho will be a stretch to catch 1st Wish I had this team as my main SC side

This exercise has certainly rammed home the importance of starting the season with the most effective squad. It has also clearly shown me that the most important thing to get right is absolutely the rookies. Premiums score up and down, but without cash, there's just no opportunity to upgrade to the best of the best. Best trade so far this year? Probably Whitfield to Griffen. Worst trade so far? Take your pick, but bringing Dixon in to cover for the injured Gibbs was a disaster of massive scale! However, even with hindsight, his average deserved picking and the injuries were unlucky. Picking Lester was just dumb.
Still trading this week in a vain hope of making the August Action, but looking unlikely at this stage. Thurlow (another great trade) out for Clisby and Ibbo in for Vlaustin who I think has peaked.
You have been warned! Stay away from these guys at your peril! On a lighter note, Vlaustin is almost certain to rip it up!

Well its season over of the Llamas. No way they can make up the gap now. Low on trades, with Captain Watson injured, they struggled to just over 2000. Meanwhile everyone else was scoring 2200-2400.

    You would expect thatthis yearswinner will come from one of the top 5, with postions 3-5 needing to string together 2-3 weeks of solid form to overhaul the top 2 teams <table width='490' style='width: 369pt; border-collapse: collapse;' border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0] <col width='21' style='width: 16pt;[/img]<col width='141' style='width: 106pt;[/img]<col width='97' style='width: 73pt;[/img]<col width='78' style='width: 59pt;[/img]<col width='46' style='width: 35pt;[/img]<col width='51' style='width: 38pt;[/img]<col width='56' style='width: 42pt;[/img] <tr height='21' style='height: 15.75pt;] <td class='xl69' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 16pt; height: 15.75pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #f0f0f0;]# <td class='xl69' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 106pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #f0f0f0;]Team Name <td class='xl68' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 73pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #bcbcbc 1pt solid;]TS Name <td class='xl67' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 59pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #bcbcbc 1pt solid;]Team value <td class='xl67' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 35pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #bcbcbc 1pt solid;]Rd15 <td class='xl67' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 38pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #bcbcbc 1pt solid;]Total <td class='xl67' style='border-bottom: #bcbcbc 1pt solid; border-left: #f0f0f0; background-color: #cecece; width: 42pt; border-top: #f0f0f0; border-right: #bcbcbc 1pt solid;]Behind

Too Many Legs managed to pull back 115 points last week. Can they do it again this week? With how many trades left did you say?

Had a terrible week compared to most - and it cost me the lead!
Plenty of trades in the bank, will have to start looking at off loading under achieving premiums (Nic nat I'm looking at you!)

My student is preparing to trade up big time! He's moved Vlastuin to the midfield and brought in Hanley (OUT: Crouch). He has also moved Cox to the forward and brought in a space-filler rookie to free up some $.

Vlastuin is DPP, Crouch is not. They both have similar scoring potential, so Vlastuin stayed. The play seemed to work anyway with Vlastuin's 85 and Hanley's 115 on the way to my student's career-best 2395. That was also due to his reformed faith in GAJ. My student has 9 trades left and $160K in the bank. What's left to upgrade...

@holky - 9 trades is plenty for your student to upgrade their team and rise up a rung or two by seasons end

My student will have to make those upgrades now. This round by the numbers has included 1 underperforming GAJ, 2 donuts from 3 outs leaving him to say a 4-letter word.

    Buzz II went BANG in round 18, can Chasing Birdies respond over the final 5 rounds (daylight to 3rd now) Will be an awesome effort if the winner can crack the top 5000, think Buzz is around 5600ish at the moment ! <table width='522' style='width: 391pt; border-collapse: collapse;' border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0] <col width='15' style='width: 11pt;[/img]<col width='125' style='width: 94pt;[/img]<col width='85' style='width: 64pt;[/img]<col width='87' style='width: 65pt;[/img]<col width='43' style='width: 32pt;[/img]<col width='51' style='width: 38pt;[/img]<col width='116' style='width: 87pt;[/img]

My student has finally let go of the delusion that having cash on the bench is a good idea. Birchall -> Dixon, Lester -> JRoo (Staker to FWD) He used the Staker switch to put Terlich on the bench. He's sick of Terlich but hasn't gotten around to trading him.

Surprisingly the Llamas are still in the Top10, despite not having much attention being paid to their team with no trading over the last 3-4 weeks. Still hanging onto his last 2 trades. Mitchell Crouch and Nicols all in the gunsight atm.

Well the Llama's have made their final Trades (Still a chance to hit reverse!). Time for some recollection on the past season and to rate the Llamas trades over the year. /Portals/0/User%20Images/trade%20history.jpg

TRADES 1&2 (Round 2) Vlastuin > Wines (7/10) & Broughton > Geary (5/10) Wines was one of the best Rookies to start with this year. Was important to get the cash generation going quickly. The second trade got a pass mark even though Geary spudded it up, due to getting Broughton out of my team!
<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]<strong style='font-size: 14px;]TRADES 3&4 (Round 3) Mitchell>Dixon (6/10) & Ryder>Luenberger (9/10) Mitchell couldn't shake Kermit, and although Dixon missed alot due to injury he made quick cash. Ryder was about to lose cast, had just gotten suspended for 3 weeks. Berger a bargain.

Whitfield was probably culled a little early but Stokes was a great pickup. Has scored well all year, upuntilthe last couple games.

Trade 8 was quite possible the worst trade anyone had ever made in SC history. Enright was losing cash and Birch was smashing it. Since making the trade Enright has played 13 games for 1279pts (ave 98.4) and increased his price by $32.4k, while Birch has played 7 games for 506pts (ave 72.3) and lost $142.7k. Ouch.

Gibbs was injured and although I had traded Vlas out earlier, he cemented his spot in Richmonds 22 and has scored/earned cash nicely.
