Review after Round 3 Round 1 Round 1 saw us come against Mount Beauty and we came away with a 85 point victory, scores being 1,160 - 1,075. This was a pretty lucky victory consiering we had a 0, and two players top the tonne but an overall team effort with 7 85+ scoreres. Votes 3. D.Beams 2. A Gaff 1. B Gibbs Round 2 A trip down to Charlie's opening brought about a close defeat. Losing the match by 24 points in a 1147 - 1125 loss. Dayne Beams once again had a top performance as well as David Mundy who had his first BOG performance for the year. New recruit Xav Ellis also proved his worth with a 98 point performance from the bench. Our vice captain Matt Kreuzer was injured during the game and will require surgery and most of the year on the sidelines. Votes 3. D.Mundy 2. D.Beams 1. X.Ellis Leaderboard 5. D.Beams. 3. D.Mundy 2. A Gaff 1. X.Ellis, B.Gibbs Round 3 Our round 3 clash was against the Powlett Plains Packers and we came out firing delivering a very even performance. Luke Parker's 131 being the only standout. Due to Kreuzer being injured and B.Longer and C.Wood not ready for game time yet the 189cm Clinton Young had to take the ruck and delivered a 28 point performance (55 halved). But the good news was we had 4 100+ scores, and 11 of our scorers above 80. Final score being 1315 - 1051. Votes. 3. L.Parker 2. J.Howe 1. D.Beams Leaderboard. 6. D.Beams. 3. D.Mundy, L.Parker 2. New recruits in Beams and Ellis have been great with Jake Melksham making his debut for the club in round 3 and delivering a very solid 89 from the Interchange. But the few rounds has come with a large cost with ruckman and vice-captain M.Kreuzer out for a 12-16 week foot injury. Go Vultures!

With yr12 interfering with the 2015 season updates were hard to provide, however the Vultures had a breakout year of sorts, scoring the 3rd most points for in the ORFFA competition, and finishing 3rd on the ladder, however were knocked out in the first week of the finals.
Due to yr12 commitments the Vultures didn't have an official best and fairest night for the 2015 season, however the coach has elected the following as suitable recipients of the awards, with the criteria involving position played, 2015 average, consistency and number of 100+ scores. B&F: S.Martin Runner up: D.Beams 3rd B&F: L.Picken Best First Year Player: Liam Picken, Jesse Hogan would have competed tightly had it not been for the technicality of him being on the list for a previous year. Most improved: Shaun Higgins, having averaged 76 in 2014, Higgins went on to average 95 in a valuable FWD/DEF role in the 2015 season.

2016 mid-season saw us delist G.Horlin-Smith and X.Ellis, while picking up Dan Talia and the suspended Stewart Crameri in the mid season draft.
2016 B&F B&F - S.Docherty 2nd - L.Parker 3rd - J.Howe Best First Year Player - B.Deledio Most improved - S.Docherty

2017 Mid-Season Update At the halfway mark of the 2017 season the Vultures sit top of the table, 9 wins and 1 loss. Averaging 1358.5 points per game. Matt Kreuzer, a long time Vulture, has finally broken out, averaging 109, along with Elliot Yeo in a vital F/M role for the team averaging 108. Sam Docherty continues to star, building from his breakout year in 2016, currently averaging a huge 119 at the halfway point of the year. While Stef Martin and Dayne Beams are the other players to average over 100 at the end of the AFL byes (r13), averaging 102 and 104 respectively. Chasing a premiership, we were keen to manage any improvement into our starting 15 over the break, so when rebuilding Wagga Wagga placed Lance Franklin up for auction our eyes lit up. We ended up winning the auction with a bid of our first round 2018 PSD pick, MSD #18, Sam Mayes, Callum Ah Chee, and Ben Long. While it was difficult to part with these talented youth, the potential of having Buddy waltzing around the Venus Bay beaches was too much to say no too. On the injury front Brett Deledio is yet to play a game for the team this year, hopefully he can get his calves right and work his way onto the park, while Jesse Hogan has overcome testicular cancer and is working to make a return after what has been a difficult first half of the year for him. Here's hoping the team can continue their form into the second half of the year and hopefully come away with the premiership we have been building toward for years. Mid Season List changes: IN: Lance Franklin, Dan Houston, Aydan Johnson, Josh Daicos OUT: Travis Cloke, Ben Long, Sam Mayes, Callum Ah Chee
2017 Review Finishing the season 2nd, with 15 wins and 2 losses and with a total season score of over 500 points more than the next best the Vultures considered themselves a finals threat, however were knocked out in the prelim. 2017 BNF BNF - Sam Docherty & Matt Kreuzer 3rd - Elliot Yeo Best First Year Player - Lance Franklin Most improved - Matt Kreuzer For the first time in Vulture history there are co-winners of the Best and Fairest. Docherty averaged 114.7 from his 22 games in a vital role in the backline, with Kreuz locking down the R1 spot over Stef Martin with a breakout year averaging 109.8 from 21 games. Both were integral in getting the Vultures to where they finished. While it was disappointing to get knocked out of the finals race, we look forward to trying to take it that one step further in 2018.
2018 Off-Season Changes OUT: L.Montagna, J.Gibson, J.Watson (All retired), J.Short (Traded) , J.Daicos (Traded), A.Johnson (Delisted) IN: J.Carlisle, D.Menzel, O.McInerney, M.Crowden, J.Finlayson, R.Bastinac SQUAD DEF: S.Docherty, E.Yeo, J.Howe, J.Pittard, J.Crisp, D.Houston, J.Carlisle, D.Talia MID: D.Beams, L.Parker, A.Gaff, S.Higgins, J.O'Meara, R.Bastinac, B.Fiorini, W.Brodie, J.Finlayson (DEF) RUCK: S.Martin, M.Kreuzer, O.McInerney FWD: L.Franklin, T.Greene, J.Hogan, J.Watts, B.Deledio, D.Menzel, A.Otten (DEF), M.Crowden
Well well well, been a while since we've updated this. For historys sake, 2018 saw us finish on top of the ladder, undefeated with an average score of 1358, yet unable to make the grand final.
