<blockquote>Quote from chels on August 24, 2011, 09:01 that guy who was 10th after stage 3? How did he get to fourth after stage 4? </blockquote> Are you talking about Monfort or Sivtsov? Maxime was 6th to 4th and Konstatin was 10th to 6th. Lastras, Irizar, Pydgornyy all dropped places after the climb and even Chavanel lost some time so with the exception of Moreno, no one jumped up in ranks rather a lot of people dropped out. You can see that on the rankings: Chavanel (2nd) Moreno (24th) Fuglsang (5th) Monfort (6th) Nibali (7th) Sivtsov (10th) Kessiakoff (12th) Did that explain it?

Ah, I took it too literally, stings more when you jest in my general direction. Without emoticons its hard to tell To cover all bases, look at your team and click on stage 4, it will give you your points for that stage. Can't believe I also would have saved some $$$ by picking the right Martin too... Who is the bloke I picked? Is he any good? Likely to do anything?
Just found a decent article about him. TONY Martin that is... Turns out he's pretty good at time trials... But ... <blockquote>"Martin will make his first start at the Vuelta next week and it might be his last race in the HTC shirt. However, he has no ambition concerning the general classification. “I go there to prepare for the world championships. I heard the Vuelta is not as stressful as the Tour de France, so I guess I’ll just go there and see what happens.â€"</blockquote> From here: http://bikeracingnews.com/top-story/martin-decides-his-future-before-the-vuelta/ Spuin I picked him, when I meant to pick a guy who was actually 4 points cheaper, and likely to do better too!
Tony Martin is the only Time-Triallist that even compares to Cancellara atm he's great in his own right however he only has one stage where he'll look likely to win, that being the ITT. He has one some stage races this year but only ones with little climbing of note (Paris-Nice course was woeful this year) as such people view him as a GT contender, which he isn't. Anyway after an exciting climb, Purito won! Certainly looking the strongest so far. If he limits his losses on Stage 10 then he has this. Just my luck that having to pick 2/3 of the top favourites, I pick the strongest. Form means everything I guess, should have paid more attention to Vuelta a Burgos. Moreno-Rodriguez duo owned there too. Jodie has this wrapped up I reckon: Stage 5/21 1 Fuentes Favourites 895 2 celery camp 709 3 GreenHEDGE Fund 653 4 Los Campones 650 5 Team Pharmacy 634 6 CadelsClowns 602 7 Wanted to pick Gerrans 492 8 Rioters 396 9 Media Car Driver 372 10 Sainter 354
I think you are right Port - Jodie should win this. However, the celery boys will not be packing up their bikes just yet. thee is the little matter of ensuring a victory for chels over port. regards chels
Yeah your JRod over Anton pick is really laughing in my face atm Stage 6 saw a rather interesting even unfold. Last climb of the day and Liquigas pulled off the front with 4 guys and 1 Movistar rider, Lastras. Nibali and Sagan are some of the best descenders out there and for the other 2 to join is incredible. Something like that doesn't happen often. They managed to put 17 seconds into the nearest group. Lastras almost spoilt the party: Nibali going for victory and the time bonuses took the lead but Lastras pulled in front of him, meanwhile Agnoli lead out Sagan who took the win easily in the end but Agnoli took third away from Nibali. And an extra 8 seconds too. Oh brother..... my wisdom of cycling is definitely showing!!!! Not in a good way, either Have I picked ANY good cyclists? I think from memory I took about 3 or 4 random top priced players with then some mid priced 4-8s or something... Didn't help I was trying to log in to the wrong website the night before lockout thingy to bring in Kittell! Well done everyone, been fun so far.
What happened to Denis Menchov? I picked him as he was one of the highest ranked (20 or something) and he comes out with a score of 10 so far? #waste! Haven't watched many but have been checking my team's scores after the score's are updated every time, what happened to Cavendish?? Sagan and Scarponi have been my best 2 players, lol.

Well done to Jodie, who currently sits first in all of AUSTRALIA with her 1679, her next closest rival 140 points behind, and GREENHedge Fund sitting 29th. NOTE: There are 224 Australian entered teams. Well done all so far.
Wow, Jodie is doing very well. I might need some pointers next time. There are a lot of stage coming up that are televised guys if you want to watch. You "lucky" Easterners get it live at 11:30, whereas we have to wait till that time reaches us to watch it. They showed last nights stage and I think they are doing tonights as well and 5/6 others.
