I think my bet is down the toilet with the under 194 in the Celtics/Spurs game My multi I had lined up would have gone down anyway as Philly lost as well.
Sweet thanks Stowie. It's been a while since my last bet, I had almost forgot what my password was to log in.
@Owen - as Runci said, 2:30 SA time - found this out this morning as I kept the cat company in the wee hours to make sure it clicked over to Steve so he could place his NBA bets before heading off to work
NFL thoughts for the week... Texans and Patriots to win tomorrow. The Titans, Colts and Seahawks on Monday. Rams as a sneaky value pick against the Cards and Oakland +9.5 also tickle my fancy.
Owen, you have a full 24 hours to make your bets (2.30am when it switches to you, right up until 2.29am the next morning), so if you prefer to leave your betting till later tomorrow evening I don't think anybody would kick up a fuss at all (provided you get some winners )
Have just posted today's tip from Titan Tipping in the Commentary Box fellas!!! Now all we need is for Owens bets to come in and for Weazel to place some nice winning bets
Still got a couple of multis running tonight as well. One of them only needs Man Utd to win at home against bottom of the table QPR to bring in some coin so I'll be cheering them on.....with a sickbag next to me!
Any NBA tips for tomorrow Steve ?? Or any good NFL or EPL multi tips anyone ? I'm in the hot seat today, and there isn't much on offer racing wise.
Only one NFL game left and I'd expect Carolina to take care of the Eagles backups. Hopefully Steve pops in with some NBA picks to add to it.
Like I said in the PC commentary box Bucko, no huge rush considering the switch over time is early in the morning (2:30am SA time) - not sure what racing is available tomorrow/Wednesday, but if there was anything there that took your fancy I don't think anyone would mind waiting a day or 2 for results - it's all about the end result that matters most, not so much when the bet is
Some EPL on Thursday morning if you're interested. Newcastle are a shambles just now so Stoke at home look good at $2, add in Man City win @ wigan and Man Utd win at home v West Ham for $3.71. Not bad. I've just stuck a fiver on it.
Just something I've been thinking about and may as well throw it out there: What do people think about extending the betting days for each punter to 2 ? This would give the punter twice as much to wager, and an extra day to find something to bet on. It would mean that its a long time between drinks (52 days) but I think following each punters wagers would be more exciting with (at this point) $30+ to wager each time. (And will increase as contributions come in) I feel with such a small amount to wager at the moment, most people (including myself) are trying big multi's to get a decent payout, which is leading to our funds bleeding away a bit. Increasing the amount to wager I think would promote smarter betting and hopefully a bigger balance !
Not a bad idea Bucko, I guess the main point is the one you have mentioned, 52 days between bets. The other thing I'm looking forward to is the revamp of the punt club email system. As it is I filter them in my inbox but find it very hard to follow what bets have been placed.
