So, this weekend we are off to, in Hornsy's words, Pluck a Tuck. The Richmond Red has been a pain in the arse for all opponents this year and shows no signs of letting up, keeping Fould Bay firmly fixed at the top of the ladder. . . This is the sort of weekend when it is far better to go on a long overnight fishing trip on the reef. We are going to get well and truly plucked by Hornsy in the Group W league and then have to suffer the ignominy of being pecked by his younger sibling in ORFFA. If Juddy hadn't tried that chicken wing we might have put up a contest against the Chooks. Yanno, I was upcountry in Thailand last week, parked out the front of a 7-11 (waiting on women as usual) and I watched two cock sparrows go at it on the ground. One was totally stuffed, but the other one kept at him and at him and just wouldn't let up, determined to see him dead. I thought, shit, poor bastard, it will be my turn next weekend.
Chief Russell and Hornsy taking turns at a death by pecking. .
And so the Whits now have to prepare for the plague from Gundagai. The youthful kung fu student cleaned us up in the Group W last week and will no doubt be keen to do it again. . . They might make good bait though.
Well due to suddenly being called away for work in Chiang Mai we ended up having to forfeit the match with the Dog on the Tucker Box, a match we could have easily won, instead of boosting his % into the top 8. Last week we managed to post a team on the thread, without a lot of success as we did not know who was named. Sylvani was supposed to play, but didn't, etc., etc. Nuff of that. This weekend is Chelsea Appreciation Round and Chels, who is a life member of the Warriors and does some weekday work for us at the Tiki Bar, is very excited. We welcome bama and the Mt. Beauty Uglies for their first excursion north to the islands. Fairly formidable team, but we will entertain their little buts off. .
Rebecca was complaining this morning that there was an incessant knocking on her door all of last night, but she did not dare open it on her own. Some of our staff poked around in the tropical gardens looking for footprints and guess what???? Juddies back!!!!! Heavily disguised, but we'd know that chicken wing anywhere. .
Honoured to have life membership of the Warriors TiB. Have been to busy to visit the Tiki Bar recently, but plan to exploit the ability to slip behind the bar at some stage. For your services to the wine industry in NZ we are happy to bestow life membership of the Waikiks on you. A kahu huruhuru featuring Huia feathers awaits you at the Lodge (wharekauhau.co.nz). As you may be aware it is was established as a sheep station in the 1840's and is still a working sheep station; posh gum boots are supplied to guests!
Ah, that makes more sense. Offering me free access to the Tiki Bar was not something I would have advised. Accepted yes, advised no. It would be juvenile of me to withdraw your kahu huruhuru and life membership of the Waikiks, so I won't. However, please be beware that any costs you incur at the Lodge are your responsibility and not part of the Honourary Life Membership package - hope you understand.
Hope you find access to a computer soon as it would be embarrassing to lose to the Nuffers this week. Juddy was seen creeping around the Inghams processing plant looking for someone to point him in the right direction.
Very proud to accept my hoo roo chels and so nice of you to take it on the nose. You don't need life membership for free access to the Tiki Bar, our common Polynesian heritage is sufficient. Please note the small print that this does not include free access to Chelsea of the Roffey kind. And, as for old mate andy. I've waited all year for this and look at the score he knocked up last week. Must think the cricket season has started already. The Absentee Admins can call it how they please, but this will be The Battle of the Bottoms. .
Chelsea gets a Granny Gig! We are all thrilled that our hard working lass is going to the big one. If the score is lop-sided or the half time entertainment a bit off, there will still be Chelsea to cheer our souls.
Summer and the off season. Cool breezes, margaritas and a flat sea in the Whits. What to do? /Portals/0/User%20Images/fishing.jpg
Well, all our luverly pics seem to have disappeared in the transfer. Let us hope that this will be rectified some time down the track 'cause OUR TEAM IS IN THERE SOMEWHERE! And a post or two have dropped off as well. I distinctly remember unveiling progress work on our new oval, vis: /Portals/0/User%20Images/Whitsundays.jpg
Let's try posting the team again. Remember. These lads are all now one year older than they look. /Portals/0/User%20Images/ocean%20def.jpg
Ever hopeful a number of the posts and threads are retrieved ... especially given some of the key ones which have disappeared into the ether.

The Worst Fold is still scratching his head as to why such a promising young lad would think there are other things in life besides footy. /Portals/0/User%20Images/White%20Shark%20Kayak.jpg
