Thought Proserpine would have been your nearest big town there. I remember once being in a newsagent there and seeing 'Bacon' magazine for pig hunters. Fantastic cover featuring a girl in bikini with gun standing astride a dead feral pig. North Queensland culture at its best.

Mate of mine took his Thai girlfriend into a bar in Cooktown and one of the locals said to her "And what tribe are you from deary?" . Rare unpigmented Adelie Polar Bear at Mawson.

Breaking News!!! The Hook Island Resort Bar has just announced the appointment of Ms. Janice Ttelba as Barmaid. Ms. Ttelba brings a wealth of experience and other things to this position. For example she is a second cousin twice removed from none other than Gary Ablett Jnr., but the spokesperson for the Whitsunday Warriors strongly denied that this was a deciding factor in the appointment. "I mean, should be obvious. You can see for yourself" they said. . It is rumoured that the Bar has also secured the services of another barmaid, Ms. Chelsea Roffey, whose appointment is to be announced next week. "Having a barmaid who knows how to count between 1 and 6 and has some AFL experience will be an invaluable asset to join Ms. Ttelba" the spokesperson said.

Party starts at 4:30 sharp. Be there or miss out on the pie.

I smell shenanigans and Russian-style governance in this new league. Where in regional Aus is the Whitsundays?

Sometimes several of these regions may be combined and referred to as a single region - for example, Mackay and Fitzroy are together known as Central Queensland, whilst Brisbane and Moreton are together known as South East Queensland. Smaller regions may also exist within these defined regions, such as the Torres Strait Islands or the Whitsunday Islands.
And as part of the Outer Great Barrier Reef, how much more 'outer' do you want to get? The Whitsunday Warriors apologise for having the temerity to choose a nice place to live in. This attitude towards life will be reflected in our trading. Hook Island welcomes visitors of all colours, creeds and pyrites, but please, next time wipe your feet when you come in the door.

You need an attraction to lure the good players away from the traditional bastions of footy such as Mawson Base. However, with Rebecca Judd soon to be in residence, we might have to clean our act up a little. It has been my experience that women fear only one thing; the possibility that some other woman may be better looking than they are.
