Round 15 matches (to be played in AFL Round 18) as the ORFFF regular season reaches its conclusion, bolded teams currently in the top 8 Neptune Island Noahs (12-2) vs Chinchilla Chumps (10-4) - will directly impact on the top 4, but is the only round 15 match that does not potentially affect who makes the top 8. Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) vs Drouin Dropbears (13-1) Useless Loop Virgins (7-7) vs Black Swamp 29ers (10-4) Port Lincoln Power (5-9) vs Cockburn Avengers (9-5) Maralinga Atoms (6-8) vs Rutherglen Fugitives (6-8) Heard Island Shags (3-11) vs Jan Juc Ducks (7-7) Mt Thirsty Boozers (3-11) vs Dingo Beach Butchers (6-8) Walpole Woylies (1-13) vs Mole Creek Glow-Worms (7-7) Current ORFFF Ladder and team entry/Matchday reporting etc is at http://tooserious.net/forum/tsLeagues.php?leagueId=14 Previous Round threads are below http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-14.89582/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2016-orfff-round-13.89545/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-12.89518/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-11.89504/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-10.89495/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-9.89476/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-rivalry-round-round-8.89461 http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-7.89450/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-6.89431/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-5-anzac-round.89422/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-4.89406/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-3.89389/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-2.89381/ http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-2016-round-1.89362/
Who will make the ORFFF Final 8? 6th spot = Jan Juc (7-7) 18190 points scored – a win over the Shags is all that is needed to qualify for July/August action. A loss would open the door for other teams but finals would still be more likely than not for the Ducks. Additional results needed to finish in the top 8 if Jan Juc loses Any 1 or more of Black Swamp 29ers (10-4) to defeat Useless Loop Virgins (7-7) Drouin Dropbears (13-1) to defeat Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) vs Walpole Woylies (1-13) to defeat Mole Creek Glow-Worms (7-7) Maralinga Atoms (6-8) to defeat Rutherglen Fugitives (6-8) Further if they lose and all 4 results go against them Jan Juc could still qualify if Rutherglen is unable to make up a 107 point deficit on points scored. 7th spot = Useless Loop (7-7) 17739 points scored – a win over the 29ers is all that is needed to qualify for July/August action. A loss would open the door for other teams and leave the Virgins to watch the ORFFF scoreboard to find out whether they need to make the finals. Additional results needed to finish in the top 8 if Useless Loop loses Any 2 or more of Drouin Dropbears (13-1) to defeat Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) vs Walpole Woylies (1-13) to defeat Mole Creek Glow-Worms (7-7) Maralinga Atoms (6-8) to defeat Rutherglen Fugitives (6-8) 8th spot = Wedge Island (7-7) 16543 points scored – a win over the Dropbears would be highly likely to see them finish in the top 8 given their 300 plus points scored buffer over Mole Creek and any team that can defeat the ladder leaders would be deserving finalists in my book. A loss would see them 95% likely to drop out on points scored to one or more of the 9th-12th placed teams 9th spot = Mole Creek (7-7) 16203 points scored – given their low points scored they need to defeat bottom placed Walpole to remain alive for a remarkable finals berth, if they do so Maralinga and Dingo Beach would be eliminated, but Mole Creek’s fate would still depend on the results of the teams above them Additional results needed to finish in the top 8 Any 1 or more of Black Swamp 29ers (10-4) to defeat Useless Loop Virgins (7-7) Drouin Dropbears (13-1) to defeat Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) Heard Island Shags (3-11) to defeat Jan Juc Ducks (7-7) 10th spot = Rutherglen Fugitives (6-8) 18083 points scored – their points scored gives them some chance but they must defeat Maralinga and rely on other results to keep their chances alive Additional results needed to finish in the top 8 Any 2 or more of Heard Island Shags (3-11) to defeat Jan Juc Ducks (7-7) combined with Rutherglen outscoring Jan Juc by 108 points to edge ahead of the Ducks on Points Scored Black Swamp 29ers (10-4) to defeat Useless Loop Virgins (7-7) Drouin Dropbears (13-1) to defeat Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) Walpole Woylies (1-13) to defeat Mole Creek Glow-Worms (7-7) 11th spot = Maralinga Atoms (6-8) 16835 points scored – must defeat Rutherglen and rely on other results to keep their chances alive, if the Woylies don’t manage to scape up 15 fit players on Thursday night then the Atoms may as well begin to plan for 2017. Additional results needed to finish in the top 8 Drouin Dropbears (13-1) to defeat Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) Walpole Woylies (1-13) to defeat Mole Creek Glow-Worms (7-7) Further if Dingo Beach prevails over Mt Thirsty Maralinga will need to be within 229 points of Dingo Beach’s score to remain ahead on Points Scored. Basically it is likely that a score good enough for the Atoms to beat the Fugitives will be enough if the 2 results above go their way. 12th spot = Dingo Beach Butchers (6-8) 16606 points scored – must defeat Mt Thirsty to keep their chances alive but even so the Butchers would be 25-1 or so given the current state of play Additional results needed to finish in the top 8 Drouin Dropbears (13-1) to defeat Wedge Island White Pointers (7-7) Walpole Woylies (1-13) to defeat Mole Creek Glow-Worms (7-7) Maralinga Atoms (6-8) to defeat Rutherglen Fugitives (6-8) combined with Dingo Beach outscoring Maralinga by 230 points to edge ahead on Points Scored, so if Maralinga score in the upper 1100s it will be all but over for the Butchers.

Hey all, not wanting to highjack the thread but I was wondering if anyone can assist with testing of the ORFFF progress scores spreadsheet? The Excel spreadsheet relies on Macros so you would have to have your Macros Settings enabled. Basically the testing is just to Paste Game Data into the spreadsheet (ie Game 1 data gets pasted into Column A of the Game 1 spreadsheet, which I did last night, Same for Games 2 through 9) then Press two macro buttons to update the ORFFF scoreboard. The ROUND Scores DATA is of course from the ALL PLAYER STATS page on http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/afl/classic/gameday?leaguenum=2 The two buttons (for Game 2) are the UPLOAD GAME 2 scores to current round page button and the Move to and REFRESH SCOREBAORD button (similar for games 3 to 9) I need one or two people to each try to do this once or twice over the weekend, preferably once on Saturday and once on Sunday. Note the spreadsheet is still under development and hasn’t solved the Tom Lynch/Tom Lynch problem, or the more common problem whereby the name of the player in Supercoach (for example Dan Hanneberry) does not match the name of the player in TsLeagues (for example Daniel Hanneberry). So the scoreboard shown during testing will have some errors, which is OK as I am hopeful of getting the majority of outstanding problems addressed between now and next week, I just want to make sure the data is easy to upload to the spreadsheet. Current file attached (had to zip because TS didn't seem to want to recognise and upload a .xlsm file extension) Cheers TTH
standard disclaimer applies but here are possible scores after the Melb vs WCE game was posted, still early doors in some games in any case
update after the sat night games (and adding alex fasolo onto DBB's score) It looks like Drouin, Neptune Island and Mole Creek have their Round15 games under control while most others could go down to the wire. If so, Mole Creek (@ViQBoZ) would therefore displace Wedge Island (@Bearfly) in the 8 (and eliminate Maralinga and Dingo Beach), while Rutherglen (@tyze1) needs to take the choccies against the Atoms firstly then look for the 29ers and/or Shags to do them a favour to tip out the Virgins or Ducks. The Fugitive's task of catching Jan Juc on points for appears to still be a possibility, with Gunston, Hodge, Ceglar, Shane Edwards and Dylan Shiel needing to do the heavy lifting for the Riverina boys to improve their chances, while Hanley, Mitch Robbo and Jezza Cameron can seal the Ducks a finals spot with a win over Heard Island or significantly boost their points scored enough to boost their chances of remaining ahead on that count with strong efforts. The Chumps have certainly left the door open for the Avengers in the battle for the top 4 heading into Sunday, however the Power have a decent chance of a win to close their season with Rance, Valustin, Hill, Ebert, Hartlett and Young looking to overcome the Avengers lead of 68 points with Hampson and the coaches beloved trio of Shaw, Williams and Ward to play.
