i havent read your website unfortunately, and I know Im missing out but Roberts and Goldsworthy both high on my list regardless... Not Dowrick though, I havent heard of her yet
sorry bout that, I must admit the 'Rookie Me Central Player of the Year' rap was tempting but I also have a bad habit of picking GWS (and now Sydney too) players, so I can be disappointed in multiple ways at once XD
Must admit I had my eyes on a few - and already gone and plans completely derailed as per normal.....!! You're definitely up @TerryinBangkok Some numbers went askew but its pick 19.....
Thought you might have left that one for @Len. I have radiation early tomorrow morning - bed for me (if that's okay).
Agree, I was contemplating picking her, but I got a bit done over by positional changes (such as Tarni White moving into midfield now so it's minus a defender but I'm not going to drop her) so had to go for the extra defender given the amount of midfielders. I'll be interested to see where she plays at AFLW level consistently though.
Similar issue for me a number of my better fwds last year became mids, would have taken Hurley in a heartbeat if a fwd which is where I think she plays for at least early career, but as a mid with O'Sullivan available I needed to spend other high end picks on weaker positions. I don't mind it though as it makes drafting quite tactical..
speaking of position makeup of teams, I made a big mistake with my delistments because I did them in a rush and forgot that there was an inconsistency between the stats page at tsLeagues.... No way I would have kept Sabrina Frederick over Kate Surman if I'd realised she was a Fwd, I thought she was a ruck. Also, I thought Tessa Lavey and Brooke Brown were forwards, and I preferred them to the aging Surman. And I thought TLR was a defender.... I arrived for the draft yesterday and realised my mistake when I checked my team in tsLeagues and saw heaps of midfielders and only one ruck. Hence I havent drafted a midfielder yet and I prioritised McKinnon over some other youngsters I'd probably prefer.
We are taking a relaxed approach to drafting and competition generally in this comp By necessity all picks have the clock on, as per above, except that we exclude midnight-6am Melb time We will more than comfortably finish by Monday/Tuesday even if a few autopicks are required in the remaining 62 picks (mostly depth players in any case).
