Having skimmed the SC ownership %s yesterday I expect there to be a lot of movement by this time next week. In addition maybe 50-60% of the 36 d/m/f players might not make final Round 1 sides after 8 man IC's are chopped.

Nonetheless here is a table of $210k and under players with dpps shaded, feel free to mention any rookies that I may have missed, maybe between $210-$250k or below 6% but are a good chance of getting a guernsey for Round 1.

Cousins (Haw), Archie Smith (BL), Caldwell (GWS), Harry Jones (Haw) and Brander (WCE) are another 5 to add to the watchlist.

Archie Smith in Ruck probably, Matt Flynn is a possible R1
Brander in fwds also a possible R1 option. Oscar Allen the same
Ethan Hughes in Def also likely R1, one of Harry jones or Scrimshaw also possible
Wouldn't be surprised if one of Hately/Caldwell make the giant's R1 team

That's all I can think of, none high ownership atm

Currently, I'm feeling pretty comfortable to leave Balta as a potential correction trade if he goes bang and is selected for a 3rd.

Maybe not so much in fantasy AFL though

Not sure what this means for Balta:

If Balta is also named alongside Lynch, I'm probably going to take him at F8.

Gibbons (23) vs Constable (19) vs Atkins (23) vs Hayes (23) vs Hind (24) vs Bewley (24) vs B Scott (18)

I am likely to choose 3 or 4 which ones - if selected - will do the best or have the best JS ?

Aside from rookies Nic Newman, Kade Simpson, Alex Rance and Dustin Martin are all locked out on Thursday night.

I am looking at Dusty as a good value premium to start at M4 and eventually sit at M7/M8 - either he or a costlier player will be replacing Josh Kelly due to his lack of preseason games.

How has Dusty looked in JLT and are there any fitness or role concerns ?

Are any of Newman, Simmo or Rance must have players ?

I’ve only got Dusty of those 4. I don’t think you can go wrong with Dusty at his price.

Simmo too old for mine. Newman might be a spud. Rance who knows.

Pending selections, I’ve got Gibbo, Constable, Atkins & Scott from those rookies.

Why? Guys a good user of the ball and takes a lot of kick ins. Ball will be down that end of that ground a lot with Carlton. I also remember Tom Mitchell being on Longmires black list at the swans too...

Walsh and setterfield not great but I’m guessing most will have that pair on the field anyway?

Did anyone check to see if Balta was eating a hamburger before the start of tonight's game?

I am partly joking here, defensively he isn’t that great and he isn’t quick but yes he finds a lot of the ball.. as I saw it at sydney he was competing with McVeigh for the same spot hence the lack of opportunities (Swans couldn’t have two of same slow player)

Had Newman in my team yesterday morning but chickened out by lunchtime.

Has always had the potential to post some great numbers and is definitely pencilled in as a corrective at this stage.
