Canberra Conservatives (3-2) v Las Vegas Legends (2-3)
===> last time they met Las Vegas won by 162
The Legends will be hoping to build on their 2 game winning streak with another win over the Conservatives. Both teams should field very strong sides with only 1 player each on the long term injury list.
The Conservatives have alternated wins and losses this season – will the trend continue?

    Korean Kickers (2-3) v Stuttgart Storm (3-2)
===> last time they met Korea won by 79
Stuttgart have been lucky enough to catch the Kickers without their best player in Kiara Bowers and seem to have the edge in this match-up. The Kickers also have a plethora of Richmond players in their squad (5 in total) who have a tough match up this week against the Kangaroos, so scoring for the Kickers this week may prove difficult.

    Lagos Royals (2-3) v Lima Llamas (4-1)
===> Last time they met Lagos won by 104
The Llamas will be hoping to hold on to the top spot on the ladder but they have a tough match-up this week against the improving Royals. The Royals welcomed back Ellie McKenzie from injury last week and could regain a star in Tyla Hanks for this important match-up. The Llamas will be hoping their balanced line-up is enough to get them the W.

    Vancouver Vixens (2-3) v Kyoto Kruisers (2-3)
===> last time they met Vancouver won by 202
Both teams are coming off a loss last week and are still searching for their third win of the season. The Kruisers have struggled to replace the early season loss of Brianna Davey and although the Vixens have some star players in their lineup they re on a 3-game losing streak so they will be hoping to break the slide this round.

In the event that a postponement is declared PRIOR TO 9pm FRIDAY NIGHT (Melb time), topups may apply for the round,

Can all coaches please read this post and then like the post so that we know you have seen and understand the content.

The Premier League topup process used in Rounds 3, 4 and 5 has been discontinued. Expanded squads plus observation from Rounds 2-5 means that the system is now pared back. While there are no further AFLW club alignments, instead the top-up pool will be drawn from clubs playing AFLW matches on Sunday each week, and the new system will apply for rounds 6-8 and during Premier League finals.

Instead of a 1:1 replacement, the following applies with players ruled out for the 2022 season excluded from the calculation.

1 or 2 missing = no replacements in most cases, however in extreme circumstances a team may apply for 1 replacement (from Sunday AFLW squads) provided that the request is made by 9pm Friday night (Melbourne time), with TTH and FD responding by no later than 12 noon on the Saturday, noting that the answer is highly likely to be a NO.

3 missing = 1 replacement from Sunday AFLW squads, selected by posting in the thread, first in best dressed
4 missing = 2 replacements from Sunday AFLW squads (must be from the same AFLW club), first in best dressed
5 or more missing = 3 replacements from Sunday AFLW squads, which is the maximum, all must be from the same AFLW club, first in best dressed

Topup players are selected by coaches commencing from 9.01pm on the Friday night until the full round lockout applies. First in best dressed.

Topups can be selected from any position and be named anywhere in the weekly squad of 18 that the coach prefers.

If the postponed game is advised prior to Friday 9pm topups for that game apply.

If the postponed game is advised after Friday 9pm then topups for that game do not apply and instead an AWARDED SCORE will be allocated based on the players current 2022 average times a % scaling factor of 75%.

Either 1 or 2 postponements in any given home and away round will see the Premier League carry on for the week irrespective of when the postponements were advised, however if a 2nd postponement occurs please be sure to head to this thread and await further directions from either @FreoDockers or myself.

If there are 3 postponements in any given home and away round then the round will be cancelled and played in place of the currently scheduled Round 8 so that we maintain a full home and away round robin where very sides plays each other prior to the finals.

As advised previously coaches are required to have familiarity with how the postponement topup system works and be more engaged throughout the early part of the weekend due to the potential COVID impacts as far as rolling team selections, HSP's and potential postponements at short notice than would otherwise be the case.

Please ask questions as you need but most of all have FUN, enjoy the footy and DO NOT feel any pressure at all to prioritise the comp over real life which always comes first.

The Storm selection committee have named the side to take on the Kickers @Chloe in our Round 6 matchup.

There are 4 changes due to return of players from HSP stints, the influx of fresh talent through the MSD and a selection risk of an underdone Gabby Newton.
    • Midseason draftee Verrier replaces the injured Sheriff
    • Alyce Parker replaces Sarah Rowe
    • Woodland replaces Lochland
    • Gabby Newton replaces Mikayla Cann
Note that this team is subject to change, with Newton once again very proppy at Thursday night's training.

Def = TLR, Verrier, Koenen (Watson)
Mid = Parker, Ridell, Gavalas, Newton (Egan)
Fwd = Woodland, O’Dwyer, McEvoy (Lochland)
    Ruck = L Pearce (Georgostathis)
    IC = Webster, Lamb (Tighe)

    2nds - B Brown, Cann
    Injured/HSP - Garnett, T Brown, Sheriff

Midway through the 3rd quarter the visiting Kickers 9/534 @Chloe have edged ahead of the Storm 7/475

Subject to a late fitness test for Gabby Newton the Storm appear likely to commence Sunday proceedings 19 points ahead 8/553 to 9/534 due to the pending late call up of Grace Egan.

From the current lineups the Storm would have TLR, Koenan, O'Dwyer, Lamb and Woodland yet to play while JVD, B Smith and Bowen are set to run out with a cloud over both Dillon and Molan leaves the Kickers selection panel scrambling to field a full 13 players.

Winners this week were Las Vegas @Pearcey47 by 19, Kyoto @FreoDockers by 63, Lagos @Peter W by 107 and Stuttgart by 167.

Stuttgart and Lima are a game ahead of Canberra, Kyoto, Lagos and Las Vegas in equal 3rd-6th (3-3), Vancouver and Korea a game behind (2-4). The aim of all teams will be to win their last 2 matches and wee where that leaves them following the final fortnight.

Round 7 commences on Thursday and runs to Monday night.
