    @FreoDockers @dmandrews @Nic Neg @marconofrio TTH @anthak @ver_redit_optatum @Tiny_doughnut @That KI Guy @HOLKY @Tracey @Len

The final round of the 2020 ORFFW home and away season sees the current top 3 jostling for position while the Geeniuses will look to join them in a knockout stage with a win or draw against the Krushers. The following 7 teams must hope that the WA side can post an undefeated season to keep their respective finals hopes alive knowing they must win and then rely on the lottery of 2020 points scored to secure the final playoff position.

    -----------------

Can all teams please make sure that your 18 player squad is entered into TS Leagues nice and early, noting the start to this round is again 710pm Friday night Melb time.

Follow Round 6 proceedings live via the AFLW app to see the AFLW fantasy scores and cheer your ORFFW side on throughout the weekend, noting that your Round 6 opposition (and all of the other 10 teams lineups) are shown on the following link http://tooserious.net/forum/tsLeagueMatchday.php?leagueId=21&round=6

Cheers and good luck to all, TTH

As the 2020 ORFFW Semi Finals will be drawn to maximise the number of first time clashes and the top 3 have all played each other already the 2020 Semi Final matchups depend on which team completes the top 4.

The permutations appear to be as follows:-

If the Geeniuses finish in the top 4 - Kat vs LSC/BBB, LSC/BBB vs Geen – the higher placed of LSC and BBB plays the Geeniuses

If Manildra finish 4th - Kat vs LSC, BBB vs Man
    If Pomona finish 4th - 1st vs Pomona, 2nd vs 3rd
If the Galahs or Gliders finish 4th - LSC vs BBB, Kat vs Galahs/Gliders
If VB finish 4th - LSC vs Kat/BBB, Kat/BBB vs Viv – the higher placed of Katanning and BBB plays the Valkeries
If the Eagles or Sirens finish 4th - Kat vs BBB, LSC vs Eagles/Sirens

Well, Cora's back in. I'm in the interesting position of being glad that we got so thoroughly whomped last week that selection of our best 13 wouldn't actually have made a difference. Otherwise I would have been kicking myself :D Hoping for a close exciting match this week against the Belles.

    In: C. Staunton, A. Lister, S. Thompson
Out: M. Newman, A. Makur Chuot, N. Kelly

Staunton is definitely a hot or cold player, fantasy wise. One of those who I really love to watch when she plays.

Excitement we can deliver in spades, unlikely to be close though, I suspect you'll be able to declare at half time :p

Lake St Clair Devils Round 6 team:

Out: Alison Drennan (omitted), Hannah Scott(omitted)
    In: Charlotte Wilson, Hannah Dunn

Def Meghan McDonald, Sarah Allen, Lauren Ahrens (Nicola Xenos)
Mid Monique Conti, Emma Swanson, Kristy Lamb, Steph Chiocci (Alison Drennan)
    Ruc Emma King (Jesse Tawhiao-Wardlaw)
Fwd Jasmine Garner, Olivia Vesely, Eden Zanker (Jordan Ivey)
Int Charlotte Wilson, Hannah Dunn (Kate Shierlaw)

In Round 5 the Lake St Clair Devils suffered their first loss of the ORFFW season, losing a shoot-out to @FreoDockers Katanning Krushers 854 to 809 with the Krushers setting a new record for the highest ORFFW score and the Devils registering the third best tally in the same category. The LSC Devils will be aiming to improve their defense in their Round 6 game home game against the Manildra Mystix who need to win and have some other results go their way to rise up the ladder from fifth into the top four to qualify for the finals. The Mystix tally of 788 last weekend was the third highest ORFFW score of the round and only 21 points shy of the Devils score. Whilst Lake St Clair are the favourites @TheTassieHawk's Mystix will go in with a nothing to lose attitude and can draw on fond memories of games between the two clubs with MM having defeated the Devils twice in the 2019 stand alone season including in the Grand Final. A highlight of the game will be the head to head midfield dual between two former Calder Cannons team-mates in LSC's Monique Conti and MM's Madison Prespakis who were selected with picks 5 and 3 respectively at the inaugural ORFFW keeper league draft.

The Manildra-LSC @dmandrews rivalry has indeed been a feature of the 2019 draft comp and 2020 keeper version, however both previous matchups have taken place in NSW and this is the team's first clash on the hallowed LSC turf.

Unfortunately for the visitors their 3 woman advantage in the first game of the round has only just given them the scoreboard lead 243/6 to the home side's 228/3, with the gulf in class between the premiership favorites and the Manildra side already apparent to the capacity home crowd.

The Devils @dmandrews have wrested the lead and are well placed at 598/8 to challenge for the ORFFW record score on Sunday while the Mystix have compiled 565/10 in reply as they strive to reach a 700 point score in what appears to be their last match of the 2020 season.

At half time it appears the Krushers have gone into finals protection mode with a miserly 287 scored at an average of only 41. The GEEniuses however are looking to solidify their finals chances at 424 (64.3). Both teams have had 7 players score so it's all set up for Super Sunday!!

A late rally by the Mystix has them in the lead with 741/12 and needing a massive score from Jacqui Yorston. Meanwhile the Devils @dmandrews have moved to 682/10 with the trio of Ahrens, Swanson and Dunn poised to overcome the visitors slender 59 point lead approaching the midway point of the final quarter of Round 6 action.

Unofficial final score in the Devils-Mystix is the home side @dmandrews managing a 46 point win in an ORFFW record 861 point effort, with the visitors posting 815 in reply but falling short of the victory required.

Thanks for the updates throughout the day @TheTassieHawk, led by Ebony Antonio’s 116 in defense the Mystix were able to take the game down to the wire, you were unlucky to score 817 and get defeated as that score was only surpassed twice in the first 5 rounds. Based on the provisional scores the Devils and Mystix have set a new ORRFW aggregate score record of 1,676 points, surpassing the 1,663 set by the Krushers and the Devils in Round 5.

Falling just short has been a recurring theme in Manildra’s season as all four of the Mystix losses in the 2020 ORFFW season have been by less than 50 points. Manildra will finish the season ranked fourth for points scored and would have been a dangerous finals opponent if they had some luck and finished the home and away season in fourth place.

The Lake St Clair Devils had some good luck at the start of the season to record a six point Round 1 victory over the Valkeries and have shown impressive form from Round 3 onwards to surpass 790 in their past four games, however have also conceded 790+ in their past two games, having a 1-1 record in their two shoot-outs so expect an entertaining high-scoring finals series.

Didn't have time to score as we went but I have the Galahs coming in winners at 679 vs 623 for the Belles.

Staunton firing on all cylinders today with a 77, only surpassed by Blackburn with 80 and Bonnici with 88. While at the other end of the list, Thompson managed a team record low of 8 points, but from the comfort of my GWS supporting couch I was happy for her to have a quiet game :D

The Belles kiddies managed their highest score for the year, but not enough.

To be fair I enjoyed the GWS-Crows game a lot more :)

So as a result of the AFLW season being curtailed and the immediate move to finals the season has ended for this league.
Lake St Claire tops the ladder by % and also by a margin on points for.
    Kattaning 2nd
    Belles last.

    Next year no bat eating!!

Congrats to Lake St Claire for finishing on top in what was a great competition this year. Well done to everyone who participated and thanks as always to the organisers behind the scenes.
Will be interesting to see how far through the AFLW finals we get given it's a 3 week finals program!!!
And, as always, go Fremantle Dockers in the finals - it's the best chance we have had to finally put something in the trophy cabinet....

Congrats to the Round 6 ORRFW winners.

Congrats to Kiara Bowers who polled another 5 votes thereby pipping Ebony Marinoff by 1 vote to win the League MVP.

Congrats to the Devils, Krushers @FreoDockers, Battlers @Nic Neg and Geeniuses @marconofrio who qualified for the top 4 playoffs .. prior to world events causing their cancellation.

As @Len mentioned above this has left the Lake St Clair Devils as the 2020 ORFFW premiers - congrats Dean @dmandrews.

Sincere thanks to all 12 teams who participated in the 2020 ORRFW, abridged as it was.

I will start a separate 2020 ORFFW season recap and planning for 2021 thread.
